    Learning hub with diverse opportunities.

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure of our college is very nice, considering it’s buildings, classroom with AC , laboratory, library, e-library, indoor and outdoor games. Also have a cafeteria which is a nice place to hangout with friends by enjoying good food. The hostel rooms are good and big enough with cupboards and good quality of beds but the food quality of the hostel is average. They provide free wi-fi and in hostel also they have rooms for indoor games.

    Academics

Professors are well qualified and very cooperative in nature. I completed my btech in electrical engineering. The quality of teaching with was very nice but due to pandemic we were unable to do the practicals which was a major loss for our batch and classes were done in online platform. But yes both the online and offline classes experience was quite good enough.

    Placements

Here placements are quite good. Previously the percentage od student placed has been around 90. The creiteria is like students must have 60% thorough out their career . A lot of companies visits like microsoft, amazon, adobe, accenture, capgemini, cognizant, PWC, delloite, EY, DXC, mediamint, itc infotect, mahindra, adani, JSW and many more. The highest package offered is 20- 40 lpa by microsoft. from 3rd year you can start your journey with placements. One can do internships from 2nd year onwards .

    Value for Money

It costed me nearly 14 lakhs. The answer for value for money depends from person to person. In my case it’s quiet worth it as we provided with good education and placements to make our career bright. Here we were provided with lots of opportunities with a balanced college life.

    Campus Life

Campus life was average for me. Because no feast or any events happens here . Even our batch doesn’t get any freshers or farewell also. Except some puja there will nothing going to happen for the enjoyment of the students. At the end you have to enjoy at your own with you friends. So don’t expect anything much .

A decent college, not good not bad

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

No the college doesn't have necessary infrastructure & facilities As the college has 1200 for CSE & Engineering but the infrastructure is not that good There are smart boards & everything but they are not advanced, sports centre is good though

    Academics

I am studying Computer Science & Engineering in the campus, for my passion for engineering. The quality of teaching is quite good & the curriculum is updated. Covering the recent developments. Yes the study made me job ready... Currently my placements are also going on... hoping for the best

    Placements

Previous year as said by the college 90% of students were placed, 36 lacs was the highest package offered & it went to CSE course only. Average salary was 3.5-4 lacs, I am going through the placement process now, till now it's very smooth

    Value for Money

The course cost per year is Rs 2,35,000 For 4 years it's Rs 9,40,000 No, I am not getting the worth as there are more number of children according to the college capacity The average placement is too low compared to the fees ROI is very poor

    Campus Life

Best Features - We enjoy a lot in canteens & some events, worst feature is apart from these all there is nothing much to enjoy. Majority of my teachers were supportive & all the support staffs are very polite & nice Yes it can handle emergencies

    Others

No, nothing much a decent college to go, not that good not that bad. Academics is worth but the Placement situation is bad

Perfect blend of joy and hardships

    College Infrastructure

The college has 75% equipments and facilities available. But certain things are still there that the college is trying to add on. Classrooms, laboratories, and library is equipped with Air Conditioners. The Classrooms and Laboratories have smart boards along with green boards. Hostels have WiFi, aquaguard, AC and Non AC accommodations, study rooms, etc. Living spaces are cleaned on a daily basis and even the food is 90% hygienic.

    Academics

I am currently in 4th year of my BTech course and my branch is CSE. I opted this branch because it has a lot of scope and also I had interest in the subjects taught in this course. Here, this quality of teaching is very good as the faculty members have at least done their Phd from their respective feild and have minimum 5 to 6 years of experience in teaching. I think that the curriculum needs to be changed a little bit and the college is actively working on that.

    Placements

Past records tells that the placements have a very nice record. But this year, due to layoff, almost all companies have cut short their requirements. But still, the college has managed to bring good no. of companies from each domain and still companies are visiting to hire students. Almost 95% students get placed every year and the highest package offered varies every year. The average salary offered is 6 to 7 LPA.

    Value for Money

I took admission here in 2020. And my course costs me 2.35 LPA. This is only the academic fee, the hostel fee needs to be paid separately. I feel that I am getting 90% of my money's worth. Rest 10% can be managed because the other 90% doesn't let us think about this 10%. The annual fees is worthy because the quality of education and faculty provided to us makes it worth spending money.

    Campus Life

Taking about best features of college campus are : Cafeteria, Lawn. Students can engage in activities such as various clubs like dance club, robotics club, singing club, NCC, etc. Teachers and staffs are as supportive as they can be, so no need to worry about that. Location is very safe as far as I think.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is not so good. It's not upto the mark. Bulidings are poor quality. not any kind of corporate vibes. And hostel is also not good. Basically in overall scenario the place is not that good.

    Academics

Academics is poor . Teachers are not upto the mark. Teachers are that much fluent in English. And they are not well connected with the students here. So communication is very huge problem here in Soa University.

    Placements

Placement is worst here.Hardly any good companies come and give placements. Overall zero placements takes place... Hardly any students get placed from this college. No mass recruiters are there to come give placements.

    Value for Money

It's not a value for money place. Not at all a value for money place cause evrything here is very average and not upto the mark.. ... .................. no proper placements no communication between teachers and students.

    Campus Life

Campus Life is also not good. There's no campus Life here only...no fests nothing happens here. Except some pujas that also with least budget takes place here. The authority they don't sanction any sort of budget to do stuff.

    Others

Overall not a good college. Nothing is here in this college. Zero credibilities basically. I will not recommend any one to join this college. This is one of the worst college present in Bhubaneswar....

In my opinion the college is good for study.

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is too good, Library is updated All pharma related books are available in the library and sports centre are always maintained... Hostels are good daily clean by house keeper but mess food need some improvement.

    Academics

I have completed my graduation in pharmacy because after 12 I have a interest in pharmacy field .... Teaching quality is too good. Teachers are very much updated ... all topics are well defined .... Study will really helpful for your job

    Placements

The quality of placements are not so good ...minimum package is 1.8 lakh, average package 2.2 lakh....highest package 4.76 lakh...but they selected only 1student from B.Pharm...The college is not so much supportive about placement

    Value for Money

If you go only for study purpose then it's good but it's not good for placement

    Campus Life

College campus is so much beautiful...really enjoy very much with ur friends....And the college is in proper Bhubaneswar City...So don't worry about safety....If anyone have any health issue, the college has its own hospital...So go there

Overall good college for study with average placement

    College Infrastructure

In terms of infrastructure, our college was the best. The college has all the necessary infrastructure. The class room was very spacious, but the only lag was that there was not any air conditioning. All building and lab are well maintainer. In terms of clinginess our campus is cleanest campus in Odisha.

    Academics

I was studying B.Pharm., which was basically a paramedical course. The teaching quality was the best, and all faculty were supportive. In these fields, there is a lack of jobs, but we are job-ready after studying.

    Placements

Placements are below average. Packages are poor. The maximum number of students did not apply for placement because of the lower package. The average package was 3 lakh, and college was so supportive.

    Value for Money

Per year it cost 130000. I do not think it is value for money because of there are very less opportunity in production

    Campus Life

Campus life was excellent; all students and teachers are very supportive. The college is placed in a very good location, and there is an on-campus hospital.

    Others

Overall, i can say you can choose the college but do not choose B.Pharm.

ITER College review by Pratik N Ray

    College Infrastructure

Yes my college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments. All the classroom, laboratories, library, sports centres and hostel are well managed and equipped, smart boards are working and wifi connectivity are smooth and high speed. Living spaces are clean.

    Academics

I am currently pursuing Btech(CSE) in ITER (S'O'A) and it's a very nice college and I am doing this course because I love to code and I am eager to learn more about computer languages and web development. Yes the course makes me job-ready

    Placements

The quality has of placement in my college is good enough, previously percentage of student placed has been around 90 and the highest I don't remember exactly but 35 lpa has been provided to a student of CSE branch.

    Value for Money

The course cost is nearly 14Lpa which is worthy looking at the promises the college gives and placements. The campus is good and big, students facilities are well provided and mess food is also not that bad so overall the money that we pay is worth it.

    Campus Life

College campus is good and large we feel the freedom and the faculties we have come around are so good some of the faculties obviously are little Crooked but overall the experience till now has been great. It is located in Jagamohan Nagar, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar. Yes it is safe for both boys and girls. Yes minor medical emergencies can be handled
