I love the way my college works. I love the liberty people enjoy here and the kind of seniors we have. Here are 5 things that will sum it up for you 1) Being a computer science student I was never taught bullshit from other branches. We jumped into Data Structures right from the first year. Same with the other branches. 2) A very revised syllabus. We are using JAVA 8 and Ubuntu 16.10LTS on our labs. Plus our labs are very very advanced with 12MbPS unlimited internet. 3) My Calculus teacher has 191 research citations in her name. Same with a lot of faculties 4) College gets over by 2 at maximum. Sometimes even by 11. This gives you a lot of time for self study. 75% is not tough as well. 5) There was no disciplinary problems or authority based problems ever in the past 1 year. Plus, the food is really tasty and the hostel is really very good. And everything is so cheap in and around the college.

this college should be at bottom of your list..it has only buildings all around ..no ground at all..wifi speed is not 1gbps as described on official site ..it has 1mbps speed atmost..teacher mostly taught in odiya language so non oriya be consious and think 100 times when taking admission..this college is horrible money all the time even after giving 2lakhs per year and 80k on hostel and mess fee you have to spend extra 20k per year on projects, copies, food etc.. i am studying and regreting...

I am a student in first year of Btech. CSE. A college a good faculty , a good no. of research papers, a good amount of company who comes to college for placement. Or a college with no. of swimming pools, nice parks, beautiful buildings and ok ok faculty(new and small college or university cant focus on both things on same time). Well, forget other things, SOA university is known for good faculty , a no. of reseach paper, and a good track of placement records. But let me warn there are many rules which you may not like. But dont worry you will easily survive. And one more thing there is a no. of chicks (and boys too for girls), so you can enjoy your college life too(not appied to mechanical). So overeall yes. Iter is a good college for a student who didnt crack IIT(this comes from a ITER student). It is also ranked as 16 best indian university by government of india. So grab your seat for a better future.

i'm not kidding think twice before coming here. this college is not like that as it sounds. if your getting another college with your rank, please compare the two colleges then only make your decision. the campus of this college is not so big it has an average size campus. if you think only about studies and nothing else then this college is for you because they really pressurize you on your studies. there is not much to do in your free time you can either hang out in canteen or library. if you want to play games then you have to go another campus of this college to do so because there is no playground in the main campus.

Support setting big goals for future

This college is best for those who want to study in private engineering college. The infrastructure of college is good, ecofriendly , greenery everywhere , well equipped three libraries with ample amount of books , well managed lab facility where you can enhance practical knowledge. For health purpose , well furnished gym and indoor and outdoor stadium for game lover. Common meeting room, well spaced and furnished auditorium . Class room is having all facility of teaching manually as well as smart study. Facilites are so cooperative and helpful .They always try to give extra knowledge apart from courses. The college life here is awesome as many Co curricular activities and events are organized time to time. Fee is also normal as compare to other private college. They are providing scholarship facility also for meritorious student. The best part of college is internship program which is compulsory for every student during 4 years. It builds a working capability , facing industrial problem , analysing problem at industry level in student. It help each individual student in personality development , and teach how to face interview and group discussion. Group discussion , IQ test, Interview training etc are part of curriculum here. It helps a lot at the time of placement. College is also tie up with many foreign university for higher education which is one other inbuild platform for those who want to opt for higher education. Average packages of placement is increasing every year. So overall we can say that college is at developing stage and require some more development which they are trying like industry exposure , guest lecture by specializing personality etc.

The very first day i entered the college i was happy to start a new life .we had a dream to study in college and enjoy its life as its shown in movies and all.. I had an introin the 1st night of my college till 3 am in the morning .seniors surrounded 15 of us in a room and we had some fun and all. They told us the rules and regulations .. I didnotliked to wear my college uniform that to with full sleves .it was mantadry for 1 year .i expected a lot from this college but didnt got it .I finally found that here only we have to study as if we are in school ..it dont have a big ground to play inside the campus though about 10 km away it had a ground of its own . As we see the stuides here are quiet good with knowledable faculty members and hod of different branches . Differnt clubs are there which teaches us coecular activites . But i would suggest my juniors to see for a good college and try there hard to join to nits and iits because its life is totally differnt from here in siksha college . I will suggest to take a drop of a year if anybody wants a good future .It was my mistake that i didnt took drop as i didnt wanted to waste 1 more year of my life . College a quiet ok infrastructuer witha a auditorium .

Why it is good? *I guess, some 1600+ passed out in last batch. The number would be almost double in a couple of year. College has got a huge alumni base! For a student it is mostly good to share a network with people of your alma mater. You have people with real life experience of almost everything to talk about! Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Nirmal Jain many other entrepreneurs and businessmen feel they had gained a lot because of the network they had got by default as a part of being popular schools with a large base of successful alumni. *A diverse student base. You have friends from all walks of life. Some are from family of doctors, scientists, managers while some are to be first graduates in their family. Everyone has an interesting story and viewpoint. Being with such people enhances one's character. *Clubs of varied interests come up. Ranging from technical clubs of Robotics, ethical hacking, web designing etc. to fun clubs of painting, dramatics, literature etc. For a small student base it would have been difficult to start a club as you may bot have sufficient people with certain interest. *I personally can claim that I can now go to any major city in India and will have a good friend to visit and hang out with. Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Vizag, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Tatanagar, etc. *A large student base can be used to win and claim bragging rights in many popular offers and competition. A guest painter to tech-fests at ITER appealed to his students at ITER won a contest which required online voting. I do credit him for having painted brilliantly but so must have other competitors too. I would have loved to see ITER ahead in Dropbox Space Race, but sadly students are yet to have (at)iter(dot)com email ids yet. *Tough competition gives you an idea of what is waiting for you in the real world! Why is it bad? *Poor management skills create chaos on days like fresher parties, picnics etc. *Intake of not-so-good students dilutes the quality. *Hostels are crowded. Even final years share room with three other students! *Not everyone gets a chance to show his/her skills in extra curricular like sports and other competition. Too much competition, I say. *Quality of research has to suffer as faculty-student ratio is low and proper guidance in projects is always not available.

I would say it's a nice college. It depends on you of what you make out of it. The campus is good. The placements are nice. Several big companies come here like HCL, TCS, Wipro, Infosys..... The hostel life is good. Don't be afraid to give your intro to the seniors on the first day. The college has a total of 4 campuses. It has two big auditoriums and many small halls. The library is big with e-library in it. The hostel is inside the main campus. But there is no open field to play football and cricket in the main campus.

The location of the college is good. it is inside the city, you will not face any connectivity problem. there are total 4 campuses. which are in different locations but not too far. the college life is good but it can be more than this..... the college lags behind in organising big events. the placements are nice it depends on your ability to get placed. the faculty is not that good, some are good some are just there to fill the space. you will enjoy your hostel life for sure.

Better infrastructure... placement was good, 2nd largest library in odisha. industry visit should be added. exam pattern should be changed. college should spend money on students instead of increasing the infrastructure only.teachers should be more trained. college should bring more core campuses instead of focusing on the software only. cultural fest should be more precised. gender discrimination should not be there in library. ragging should be allowed upto a certain level.

I studied computer science engineering in ITER and I was placed in wipro. All I can say is the infrastructure is great , faculty is. Good ,the student crowd is not that good. You will find all kinds of students and they may spoil your engineering life also. You have to attend regular classes.75%attendance is mandatory other wise you cannot appear in the semester.Worst part is that if you get internal back then you have to attend summer classes next year and clear that paper. Coming to placements .It is great for cse,ece and it branch but civil and mechanical face the heat.Very few get placed in core companies while maximum work in IT ,some remain unplaced. Overall I can say that this is one of the best colleges in odhisa if you don't have any financial stress.

Hitherto, it is the one of the best education and student life one can get in eastern India. The 5-stored library, Wi-Fi enabled campus it is a very student-friendly campus. The classes, quizzes, assignments, exam everything is pre-planned and gives an exposure to application based learning. The committees of this college have been wining plethora of national awards, the student committee activities not only grooms one to have an experience in organizing and managing but also prepares us for corporate. The group learning, projects are well coordinated and guided by preceptors of this college. The cultural activities of this college are well renowned as it has independent clubs and has been associated with professionals. The annual fest and tech fest is one of the best experience that you can have.

I passed out from ITER in the year 2015. When I joined ITER in 2011, Placement was great that year. Be that as it may, by 2011 Placement was typical as it were. I will say on the off chance that you need to do your B.tech in Core subjects (Mech, Electrical, Civil, Electronics). Then simply read 4 years and don't expect any position from school. For IT branch understudies, Placement is great. By one means or another, you will get great teachers (selective) here, who will help you in your studies. Classroom instructing is necessary here means participation should be at least 75% to sit in exams. In the event that you are hunting down any great play areas, too bad for it. Stand out Basketball Court, where you may get an opportunity to paly when will be in the fourth year. One football cum cricket ground is there, yet not that huge, But rather reasonable. Primarily College grounds is loaded with Buildings, Road and Speed breakers. Additionally, it is a good school to do your Engineering. Be that as it may, don't expect such a great amount amid Placement. So take your official conclusion before racing through into it. What's more, toward the end of the day all relies upon you, how you need to see yourself following 4 years, So give your fullest from the principal day. You come to investigate a greater amount of yourself and have numerous chances to demonstrate your abilities. ALL THE BEST!!! :)

The college is situated in the heart of Bhubaneswar near Khandagiri hills. It has a super cramped building and the majority of students studying there don't bother about the studies. Placements are a joke. Even if you haven't done anything worth in four years, then also you can be placed with the IT companies visiting it annually.

Dedicated faculty members, good hostel, good placement too. Hostel facilities are pretty nice, ambulance facility is available on demand. Ever since its inception, the placement cell of ITER has created its impression by striking a right balance between academics and industry. It strongly believes in the adage, “Nothing less than the industry best”. It's constant endeavour in preparing its graduating engineers and MCA graduates in the field of technology has been an epitome of success over a period of time. The institute offers the best faculty in India. Teaching methodology is great. Well and experienced faculty. Professor can be accessed easily.

Studying in ITER was the good decision for me. It has a lot of potential in education and extracurricular activities. All the departments are good , specially ECE and ME is best. Faculties and associate professors are highly educated and do their best for students punctually. ITER has the eco-friendly campus full of magnificent infrastructures. Placement of ITER is good. Almost students get placed. Regarding hostel, I would say that its lodging facility is best but it doesn't provide adequate food. As a whole it is the best private college in Bhubaneswar for who is financially strong background.

The institution of technical education and research(ITER) is a part of the deemed university 'siksha o anusandhan'. The college has been accredited with 'A' grade by NAAC. This college has an excellent infrastructure. The newly constructed central library is one of the largest libraries of the state. It owns well-qualified faculties which get reflected on the quality of education it provides. Institute also provide GATE coaching to the students who aspire to higher education. Students being employed in companies such as TCS, Wipro, Flipkart, Capgemini and many more. Honestly in my first year, I was not at all convinced with the institute because I wanted to join in some iits, but later with the course of time I got to realize it's not the institution that solely provide u knowledge and expertise but it's us who is responsible of our success, so now I don't have any issues with my college, in fact, i am enjoying my college life .

If Bhubaneswar has been considered an education hub in the east as far as technical courses are concerned in the past two decades, it is because of a few institutions like Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) run by the Siksha O Anusandhan University, which has been offering engineering and Master of Computer Application courses. The institute has been exemplary in devising a syllabus recognised world over and sees enviable placements of its students. Since 1996-97, ITER is well known for its innovative curriculum, effective classroom transaction, application-oriented practices, updated laboratories and workshops, excellent placement, industry interface and faculty members with qualification and experience. The Institute offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and Doctoral programmes. Students are admitted based on a national level entrance examination - SAAT. The institute has signed MoU with industries such as Infosys, Wipro, Hexaware, MindTree, Mahindra & Mahindra and Mahindra International Tractors Ltd. The Institute constantly keeps itself updated with the developments in critical areas of research in science and technology across the globe and is responsive to the changing trends in education, research and market. ITER focuses on students’ learning, research orientation of the faculty, awareness raising activities and sincere engagement in social responsibility. Infrastructure The institute is spread across 124 acres with a total built-up area of over 2.5 million sqft, which includes administrative and academic blocks, workshops, laboratories, multi-disciplinary research centres, conference halls, libraries, hostels, cafeteria, gymnasium, stadium and utility space. It has 541 faculty members, besides 387 non-teaching staff. At ITER Irrespective of what your talents and interests are, you will find a platform and an audience to appreciate your performance at the institute, be it in any domain — academics, co-curricular or extra-curricular. There is a rigorous placement training the students are made to undergo from pre-final year itself. For a year, the students are trained by the placement cell with mock question papers. They are also trained in personality development, aptitude and interpersonal skills. Some assessment agencies are also hired for the training purpose who conduct online tests for the students.
