Hello,

There are many ways to apply for the btech course , if you wish to have a bright knowledge of engineering stream i suggest you to go through the iit mains and jee mains exams. You can even apply by the institution exams in which you wish join.

HOPE THIS ANSWER HELPS YOU.

I am not sure about internships as it is primarily a research organization. I couldnt get much information about internships there. Please write to them to ask and you should get the correct response about it. However admissions to their PhD programmes are through GATE and they take on EE, EC or MA GATE qualified students and not CS. You can appear for their entrance in case you dont have GATE.

Hi Sonia,

There isn't any M.Sc Biotechnology programme listed on University's website. Thus, it does not offer the same.

Hi,

Many students are mistaken that the Tata Institute of fundamental research offers courses in astronomical engineering. However it doesnot. The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics is a part of the School of Natural Science and carries out research in theoretical and observational astrophysics, with an active interest in instrumentation. It also trains graduates and post graduates. There is no university or institute that offers astronomical engineering. IISc bangalore does have the JAP which is in colloboration with Indian Institute of Astrophysics, IIST, Rama Research institute. check details here http://www.physics.iisc.ernet.in/~jap/stuopp.htm. There is an integrated programme but that also is for graduates in engineering and other specified courses.

As far as I know, no institute in India offers astronomical engineering. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research also doesnt conduct any such course. However Astronomy and Astrophysics programmes are at the following

Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore (IIA),

IndianInstitute of Science, Bangalore (IISc),

National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune (NCRA-TIFR),

Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Pune (IUCAA),

Physical Research Laboratory, Ahamedabad (PRL),

Raman Research Institute, Bangalore (RRI) and

Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai (TIFR

These are mostly at PhD level and research oreinted. However IISc Bangalore offers an integrated course called JAP - Joint Astronomy programme in association with the other institutes mentioned above. All details for JAP is mentioned here. http://www.physics.iisc.ernet.in/~jap/jap-home.htm.

I dont know if you have completed your graduation or not. If not, you should first complete that before you think of specializing in astronomy.

The cutoff is not decleared on its official site for B.Sc Physics.

College Infrastructure

Hostels are good. Everyone is provided with a single sharing room. The rooms are excellent, with an attached bathroom and a balcony as well. We are a small group of students hence we have only 3 classrooms and a computer lab. Wi-Fi is available everywhere on the campus. Food is not that great but fine. Food is quite affordable with respect to Bangalore standards.

My exprerience is very satisfied for this institute.
