Also, shortlisted candidates are asked to provide recommendation letters from two of their teachers, provided the criteria may vary according to the subject board.

Students are queried on their broad training as well as on possible research experience and areas of interest. Student performance in interviews is scored on multiple criteria, and the final selection is based on this score. It is to be noted that the TIFR Mumbai admission process varies with subject boards. For instance, the Mathematics board at TIFR Mumbai conducts another short written test for shortlisted candidates. Whereas, the Biology Subject Board typically uses two interviews: one for shortlisting students, who are further interviewed for the final selection. I am scoring 30.5 in TIFR . Will I get called in interveiw????

See in general, if one have 50% marks in the TIFR GS examination, then its quite confirmed that the student will get a call for the interview. Now every year, the difficulty of the paper change for different subjects and as a result, the cutoff changes. So nothing for sure can't be provided, although you have moderate chances to get the interview call.
