The Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology publishes its cut-off & merit list of courses to be admitted to UG and PG programmes each year. VSSUT cutoff depends on the various factors mentioned below:
The difficulty level of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Sambalpur cutoffs 2020- The complexity of OJEE and JEE Main entrance examinations is considered to be one of the main factors in deciding the cut-off. If the written examination is simple, a high cut-off is required. The estimated cut-off for medium or hard question papers is low.
The total number of applicants- The cut-off is also determined by the number of students taking part in the qualifying test. The increase in the number of applicants means that the cut-off will be high.
Availability of seats- The cut-off also depends on the number of seats available. If the number of seats is higher, the cut-off is assumed to be smaller, whereas the cut-off is higher for a lower number of seats.
Previous year's cutoff trends- The cut-off trend of the previous year makes it possible to determine the cut-off for the present year.
JEE Main and OJEE Cutoff studies suggest changing trends in periods. The highs and lows reflect the shifts that have taken place in the education systems for the classes they have chosen to take.
Success in JEE Main and OJEE may well imply that these days students are more likely in obtaining technology as a career for better placement and a good career ahead of them.
The college has good infrastructure but the equipments aren't as much required. The computer labs are small in size but other labs are good. In some classrooms there is smart boards . The classrooms aren't well maintained. There's a huge e-learning centre named as Biju Patnaik e-learning centre. And near this there's a field . There's also a canteen in the college. Next comes to hostels, hostels are with good WiFi networks and food stores but food and cleanliness not upto the mark.
Our college has great ambience and infrastructure has improved in the years. That has created great atmosphere for student to look forward to going college everyday. My favourite is the library withoads of books
In whole college there will be so many washrooms, but just one or two have water supply, rest just stink cause everyone uses them and no water . Library is very big with nice facilities , but half of the buildings are old, and smart boards are just used for presentations.
The list of top recruiters in VSSUT placements includes GenC, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte and Vedanta, among others. In 2022, during the placement drive, Gencor Industries recruited the highest number of students. The total offers made were 750. The highest package offered during placemnets was Rs 17.34 LPA. GenC turned out to be the company with the highest number of job offers (178) in 2022, followed by Wipro (75) and Infosys (60).
The college provides internship to some students and others have to contact the alumini to avail such facilities. Some internships are paid and some are unpaid. The college also approaches some organisations to train the students in form of internships. For this the selection is completely merit based. Each undergraduate has to undergo practical training in any industry for a period of not less than 60 days during the course of his/her engineering study. The training is a part of the University syllabus and grades are awarded for the training taken by the student.
Most of the students get placed in campus placements. So the VSSUT placements are pretty decent. Most of the MNCs visit VSSUT campus including TCS, Infosys Wipro, Cognizant, IBM, Deloitte, PwC, Aditya Birla, Tata steel, Tata power etc. Last year the highest package offered in B.Tech CSE was Rs 16 lakh per annum. So yes it is good for B.tech.
