Have a question related to VSSUT Sambalpur ?

I am getting ETC branch in VSSUT BURLA (A top govt college in odisha) but a part of mind still thinks for drop and giving one try.But my parents are telling me to get admission in the mentioned college. Can anybody help

Hii,

It is natural to be unsure when considering whether to drop or join VSSUT Burla.  The ETC branch at VSSUT is an excellent opportunity because it is one of the finest government colleges in Odisha.  Your parents are most likely encouraging you to take advantage of this opportunity because it will offer you with a solid education and open up new employment opportunities.

While a drop year may help you develop, remember that enrolling now can also put you on a good route for the future.  Weigh the pros and cons carefully, taking into account both short- and long-term goals.

The official website of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla, is https://vssut.ac.in/ . You can find detailed information about admissions, courses, campus facilities, and more there.

How is the ETC branch in VSSUT BURLA ODISHA

i expect 3 lakh rank in jee mains, have state qouta and ex service man qouta. would i get IT or cse in outr or VSSUT?

Hello Aspirant,

With a rank in JEE Mains of roughly 3 lakh, securing CSE or IT in OUTR (Odisha University of Technology and Research) or VSSUT (Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology) in the general category would not be very feasible, as such branches are usually in demand and usually close early with much lesser ranks. But as you also have the state quota (Odisha) and the Ex-Serviceman quota, you do have a unique edge. Ex-Serviceman quota seats are fewer, but there is also less competition. Your fate hinges on:

  1. Number of seats reserved for the quota that year.
  2. Number of candidates applying under that quota.
  3. Your category (GEN/OBC/SC/ST), since it can affect cutoff in addition.

You may have a hope in VSSUT, particularly in IT or in fresh/similar streams like ETC, as long as your quota is duly taken into account. Watch the state counselling cutoffs and be prepared for related branches or fresh colleges in Odisha as fall back.
