The Bachelor of Computer Applications is a 3-year undergraduate degree program in Computer Applications offered at VFSTR from the academic year 2015-16. The objective of the BCA Program is to produce graduates who can work as system engineer, software tester, junior programmer, web developer, system administrator, software developer etc. The curriculum is designed after analysing the requests made by the industry stakeholders and focusing on skills required for IT industry.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates born on or after 1st July, 2005 and a pass in intermediate or its equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in AP & TS and 50% aggregate marks in all other states in the +2 / Intermediate examination are eligible for admission.

V-JET Admission Test : Vignan's Joint entrance test(V-JET) is a paper based test conducted for admission into BCA in Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (Deemed to be University), Vadlamudi, Guntur Campus, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Note: Candidates appearing for qualifying examination and awaiting results can also apply.

Admission Details

The admission will be on the basis of the performance in the written test conducted by Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (Deemed to be University).
The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the V-JET score, provided if he/she gets the required minimum marks in the qualifying examination as the eligibility criteria. Admissions will be purely on merit and by following the reservation policy applicable to Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (Deemed to be University).
A common merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the written test and eligible candidates will be called for the counseling to be held at the Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (Deemed to be University) premises at Vadlamudi, Guntur District, A.P through a common ranking.
It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualification for admission. Having been called for the written test/counseling does not necessarily mean acceptance of the eligibility/admission.
The admission offered to a candidate who has been provisionally admitted to the programme will stand cancelled if he/she does not submit the relevant documents in original pertaining to admission(such as Marks Statements, Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate etc.) to the Director-Admission before the date stipulated in the admission offer.
Admissions to the programme will, however, be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidates. In case any discrepancy is noticed even at a later point of time after admission, the management reserves the right to cancel the admission and such a decision shall be final and binding on the candidate.

College Infrastructure

Vignan University has a well-developed and spacious campus with modern academic and non-academic facilities. Classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and partially equipped as smart classrooms. The campus offers extensive Wi-Fi coverage, modern laboratories for various departments, and a large central library with a rich collection of books. Hostel facilities are available with hygienic food and basic amenities. There are sports grounds and extracurricular spaces for overall development. The campus also includes medical facilities, an auditorium, and adequate transport. Safety measures and uninterrupted water/power supply further strengthen the infrastructure, making it conducive for both learning and living.

Overall a good learning experience with balanced collegelife

College Infrastructure

As a student of Vignan University, Guntur, I feel the college has good infrastructure. The classrooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with smart boards. Laboratories are well maintained with sufficient equipment for practical learning. The library is large with a good collection of books and digital resources. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Hostel facilities are decent, hygienic, and safe, though food quality can improve. Sports grounds, gym, medical facilities, and green campus environment make student life comfortable and supportive for both academics and extracurricular activities.

College Infrastructure

Vignan has one of the best infrastructure. It has all kind of labs and facilities. All the classrooms are well equipped. The college has huge play area with individual arena for Football, Basketball, Swimming, Badminton, etc. The campus is located amidst the Western Ghats range . It has spectacular view and has greenery all over the campus. Everything is well maintained and is one of the cleanest campus in the country.
