24 MonthsThis is a two-year full-time postgraduate course of Central University of South Bihar, Patna.
The two year (four semesters) Post Graduate Programme is designed to expose the students to a broad stream of canonical and non-canonical texts in what is generally known as English Studies. Students will be encouraged to study the major traditions spanning the early 14th till 20th century and beyond. The emphasis will not be on a descriptive approach based on conventional periodization, but to look critically at literary development and movements across time and space. Students will develop imaginative skills and critical intelligence while dealing with texts embedded in socio-cultural contexts.

Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must have passed the Bachelor's Degree in any discipline having English as a compulsory subject (Hons./ Pass/General) with a minimum of 50% marks for General / OBC candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST / PWD category candidates from any recognised University.

Admission is based on the National level entrance examination conducted by Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUET).
