M.Sc Statistics at CUSB Offline Course

This is a two-year full-time post graduate degree course of Central University of South Bihar, Patna

The two year (four semesters) Post Graduate programme aimed at training students in theoretical and applied aspects of statistics with due emphasis on the computational aspects. The students undergoing the programme are trained in the applied fields like Biostatistics, Econometrics, Environmental Statistics and Financial Statistics. A student undergoing this programme may also opt for electives offered by the sister departments namely, Department of Mathematics and Department of Computer Science depending upon his interest and aptitude. Classroom teaching is supported by tutorials and continuous evaluation system is followed to assess the progress of the students. Small teacher - student ratio ensures individual attention to each student. There is a well-equipped computer laboratory with high speed Internet connection and softwares SPSS/R/MATLAB to work with. There are as many as 50 computer terminals to facilitate the computational requirements. Both Windows and Linux OS are available. After successful completion of the course, the students can move forward for a career in research / teaching / industry.
