Lady Shri Ram College for Women is dream come true . The greenest campus of DU,It feels so fresh when you enter college in morning. College has taken into consideration the PWBD students and has adapted their children convenience in infrastructure, facilities and equipments.The new building is so pretty and aesthetic but old building is congested. One thing,as majority du colleges we dont have AC or cooler in classrooms . Classroom provides board amd projector. Library is very well managed and rules are strictly followed .Ac in Libraries.Sports area is small but has space for various sports.Hostel was closed since two years but good news is now open for 1st yrs after renovation. College Wifi is there which is working in some spots . The best part is cleanliness and maintainence of classroms ,lawns ,canteen etc. I can conclude by saying ,You will not regret being a part of LSR.

Strict strict strict The timetable ,curriculum ,NEP guidelines ,du guidelines are strictly followed. Punctuality and discipline is well maintained.If you go late to class , Attendance will not be maked. Teachers are well experienced.
Placements
LSR is known for its higest placement in Du Last time it was 47 LPA for an Eco(hons) student . There is a seperate department handling placements and is active in its working. Avergae package as far as I know is 12-15 LPA.

Bit sindri is a state government owned college established in 1949. Since it is very old college, infrastructure is not modern as compared to any other colleges. College has lecture halls whose classrooms are not well maintained but new lecture halls are almost with modern features. Other than that there are well maintained library, laboratories and conditions of hostels is quite average.

Academics is one of the reason for choosing this college. It's exams are taken fairly and contains simple problems. Curriculum is quite outdated but it still develop problem solving abilities in students.

Placements for computer science and engineering here is quite average. Mostly highest placements come from off campus. On campus highest is around 16 lpa and avg placement is around 8 lpa. Mostly companies like tcs, infosys come for mass recruiting whereas some get placed at top product based companies.

The M.Sc. Mathematics program was academically challenging and required consistent effort. The professors had strong subject knowledge and encouraged logical thinking and research. At times, I found the coursework quite demanding, and I wished there had been more industry-oriented electives and practical applications alongside the theoretical content.

Placement opportunities for M.Sc. Mathematics were limited compared to eng anches. Students interested in analytics, data science, or teaching had opportunities, but most of us had to prepare independently for competitive exams or off-campus stronger industry collaborations would benefit postgraduate students.

What I enjoyed most was interacting with students from different states and backgrounds. Technical events, cultural festivals, and student clubs made campus life enjoyable. On the other hand, Silchar is a relatively quiet city, so entertainment and off campus activities were limited compated to metro cities.
