Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should possess a qualifying degree in the respective discipline or the relevant discipline as prescribed by the PI with 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% for Gen/EWS/OBC, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% for SC/ST/PwD. The above mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be as awarded by the University/Institute.
The candidates from Institutes with Aggregate system of evaluation must have obtained 60% or 6.5 CGPA (Gen/EWS/OBC) and 55% or 6.0 CGPA (SC/ST/PwD) as aggregate marks.
The candidates from Institutes with Honours system of evaluation must have obtained 60% or 6.5 CGPA (Gen/EWS/OBC) and 55% or 6.0 CGPA (SC/ST/PwD) in Honours. In this system of evaluation, the aggregate marks will not be considered.

The national institute of technology Silchar Assam India is situated in bharamaputra plains here you feel the natural vegetation in the campus though as it is a NIT the modern facilities you get is of country’s best

College Infrastructure

NIT Silchar is spread across 625 acres and includes 19 lakes, a tea garden, a large auditorium, cricket ground, football ground, Student Activity center, 10 boys' hostels and 3 girls' hostel. NITS is home to Asia's largest digital library. All hostels except PG hostel is old but well maintained. The campus is lush green, with water bodies throughtout. Overall, it's a good campus.
