Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year (8 Semesters) full-time undergraduate program offered by National Institute of Technology Silchar.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12 th /qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main). The candidates who have taken four subjects are not permitted to write JEE (Main) and if such candidates appear in JEE (Main) by furnishing wrong information, their rank/result will not be declared.

Admission Details

Admissions to the first semester of all Undergraduate courses are made on the basis of seats allocated by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) from the list of candidates selected by all India JEE (Main). Besides, a specified number of foreign nationals/NRIs selected under the policy laid down by Govt. of India, are admitted directly to the 1^st year of the courses.

College Infrastructure

NIT Silchar has one of the greenest and largest college campus compared to other colleges in India. The buildings are old but are good enough and also has basic facilities and equipments. The classrooms have smartboards, laboratories are well equipped and sports centres like gym are also available. Hostels provide food 4times a day and is good enough.

Absolutely satisfied.

College Infrastructure

The Wi-Fi system is very good with high speed internet. Wifi is available to the whole campus.we can use Wi-Fi without any issues in the Ethernet.The labs are good with good equipment and also we have well trained lab incharges they will explain and help us to do the practical sessions.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure of the NITS is really good which includes all the basic and essential facilities needed for the students. The college sports facilities are also well maintained and clean in nature
