It's one of the oldest colleges in West Bengal. It have old buildings as well as New Buildings. Hopefully the infrastructure will improve with proper funding. Labs are outdated. There are funding shortage as well as good will. So yes infrastructure is poor to average I would say.

Academics are actually good. Professors are well knowledgeable. They will guide you. Labs are outdated as most of the Engineering colleges in India. If you are targeting higher studies or Govt exam, you can join this college for sure in Core Departments. Otherwise for CSE, IT it's all about skills you know!

Placements vary every year. Like upto 2022 was golden period for KGEC (I would say). After that students have to struggle for placements. For core departments, there are companies but pakage is too low. So yes there are various issues regarding placements.

The campus offers solid infrastructures with clean classroom, the classes are cleaned every day and supporting staff are extremely supportive. College helpline is always available and responses come quickly. There are a plethora of sports available, with dedicated grounds for each and every one of them. College also offers free healthcare and fitness services including gym and courses like fitness for life.

The courses offered are variable which generally follows National Education Policy. There's also leverage for altering courses which are offered based on industry standerd. The courses are all about overall and core knowledge.
