Good
My college had all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment which is helpful for better understanding by experimenting it and applying it. Our classroom had Ac to survive in this hot climate. Five star facilities in hostel. Smarts boards for better understanding for studies. Library contain enough books for studying. Every thing well maintained. Living places are clean and food is very hygienic.
Currently I'm studying in MBBS 3rd year. There are enough faculty members to teach individual subject. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field as per NMC rules. Yes, what we study in the college makes us job ready.
We have to do one year rotational internship program in our college for which government college provide 22K stipend & private college provide as there will. After completing mbbs we can either apply for government jobs or private jobs or we can study further for PG.
Our college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment for Architecture students. The studios are big, neat and well ventilated. Classrooms are clean and have smart boards and projectors. The campus is also very green and peaceful. We have workshops, labs and library facilities which help in our design work. But there is a Wi-Fi problem, the network becomes slow or doesn’t connect .
Iam studying Bachelor of Architecture (1st year). I like the teaching style because our faculty explains everything clearly and supports us in understanding design, sketches and model making. They are friendly, and their teaching methods are very good. We also get assignments and studio work which help us learn better. I chose Architecture because I am interested in designing spaces and buildings.
Architecture placements depend on student skills, portfolios and practical knowledge. In our university, the placement cell is supportive and provides internships and guidance. They conduct workshops, software training and portfolio sessions which help students prepare for future placements. Mostly in Architecture, more focus is on internships in 3rd and 4th year.
Campus life in KRMU is good. The environment is safe and clean. There are many activities like fests, cultural programs, sports and events. The cafeteria is also nice. Students from different courses interact and participate in many activities, which makes the campus lively. The location is also okay and buses are available for transport.
Network issue / Wi-Fi slow sometime.
The structure feels like a proper old Bengali institution to me, almost a relic. I appreciate the high ceilings and the feeling of history surrounding me every day. My Economics department room is always clean and well-lit, which I greatly enjoy. Only the washrooms need major improvements.
The Economics lecturers challenge me to reconsider every assumption I previously held. I feel a genuine privilege to study complex microeconomics from these minds. I am consistently pushed to read beyond the textbooks and critically analyze data. The faculty gives me personal attention whenever I seek out their assistance. This rigorous instruction is fundamentally changing how I perceive the world. I consider the academic core to be absolutely flawless.
Most of the opportunities I observe are focused on government exams or generic sales roles. I understand that the Economics Honours batch usually aims for postgraduate education anyway. I wish I could see more firms targeting data analysis roles for people like me. I will have to start networking independently to secure my own future.
The atmosphere is constantly electric, making me feel like I am part of a crucial city hub. I love the spontaneous tea stall discussions and the easy access to nearby cultural spots. I find the sheer number of activities available for me overwhelming in the best way. My social life has truly flourished since I joined this campus. I only wish there were slightly more organized, quiet spaces for me to relax.
The building's age is a mixed bag for me, frankly. I appreciate the spacious main lecture halls when I have classes there. However, the basic maintenance of several areas is often quite disheartening to me. I spend a lot of time searching for available plug points when I need to study. I feel the college could invest more in improving the student common facilities. The location is the best part, making travel simple for me.
The general course gives me a very strong and broad foundational knowledge in economics. I find the lecture to be exceptionally experienced and they simplify complex theories very well for me. I am thankful the pressure is manageable leaving me ample time to pursue competitive exam preparation. My Proffesors have always been readily avaliable when I needed conceptual clarification. I feel the course structure delivers exactly what it promised to me.
I find the placement scenario in general to be quite bleak nowadays. I realized early on that relying on the college career cell was simply unrealistic for me. My course is primarily seen as a gateway to competitive exams or further studies. I have decided to focus my entire job search efforts externally and independently. I believe the reality is that Bachelor's degrees rarely guarantee any campus placement. I am relying on myself for securing my career future.
I love the sheer, raw energy that the student body possesses every single day. I find it very easy to network and socialize with students across various streams. The local tea stalls outside often act as my true social hub and meeting point. I enjoy the feeling of belonging to such a well-known institution. I wish the college itself organized more large-scale social events for me.
I find the campus buildings to be old but they are reasonably functional for me. The Economics classroom is adequate. I wish the college provided more modern amenities, like better drinking water facilities. I appreciate the dedicated reading hall area when it is not fully occupied. Overall, I think the physical state of the campus is simply mid-range. It serves me well enough.
I am constantly amazed by the sheer intellectual depth of my Economics professors here. They introduce me to complex ideas, pushing me past surface-level understanding daily. I feel I am receiving genuinely world-class instruction in both theory and application. They make themselves highly available when I need personal doubt clearance.
There are virtually no legitimate placement opportunities for me in a Bachelor's degree here. I know I am only seeing a few internship formalities because the Calcutta University syllabus mandates it. I must rely on my own resources for securing any future job. I wish the college provided better industry linkage for me. I see this area as a significant disappointment. I have zero faith in campus recruitment.
I rarely find myself staying on campus after my final lecture ends for the day. I feel there is not much consistent daily activity organized for me to engage with. I primarily use the college for the necessary classes and essential laboratory sessions. The campus only truly comes alive during the major cultural fests, which I do enjoy. I wish there were more routine departmental social programs for me to attend.
