No crash is not better than a regular course for IIT -JEE .You can think crash course  like a recap of the movie.Regular course starts everything from zero level to higher level step by step.It provides detailed analysis of everything .You can learn step by step.Crash simply helps to practice all the things that you have studied in regular course in some limited time. Its boost your speed and accuracy .If you done regular course in good approach then crash course will benefit you a lot.

Crash course is not better than regular course.It createsmajor problem if you read it the first time.Through crash course you cannot develop the actual concept of the chapter and subject also .Jee advanced is fully based on the concept.Through  crash course you cannot a good rank.Through crash course it may be a possibility that the whole syllabus is not completed or some portions are not completed.

Exam IIT-JEE needs your regular efforts. So, regular course is better than crash course. Even the students who goes for crash course are only intensed to get a revision of whole syllabus, they even gives regular efforts.

As per your question,Crash courses are provided by various coaching institutes around the country. It is not easy for students to take a crash course. If they think a crash course can help them clear JEE, they are wrong.
It is good for students who have gone through the whole syllabus, and are clear with the concepts. Only then is the crash course beneficial.
