24 MonthsBachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) is a full-time two-year undergraduate course degree and it is offered by Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar. The Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) program is a professional program meant for preparing teachers for physical education for classes VI-X and for conducting physical education and sports activities for classes XI-XII. The duration of the course of study is two academic years, consisting of four semesters. However, the students shall be permitted to complete the program requirements within a maximum of three years from the date of admission to the program. The total working days shall not be less than 200 days in an Academic year. Each semester consists of not less than 100 working days excluding examinations.
Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Physical Education degree course (B.P.Ed) if he/she has a Bachelor degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having participated in Inter-college / Inter-Zonal / District / School competitions in sports and games as recognized by the AIU / IONSGFI / Govt. of India.
- Bachelor degree in Physical education with 45% marks
- Bachelor degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as a compulsory elective subject
- Bachelor degree in any discipline with 45% marks and having participated in National/inter University/State competition or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in Inter-college / Inter-Zonal / District / School competitions in sports and games as recognized by the AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India
Admission Details
Admission shall be made on the basis Qualifying Examination/Participation in Games & Sports/Games Skill test and Track and Field Skill test.
