Assam Agriculture University happens to be the first agricultural university in the north eastern region of the country. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Home Science, Fisheries Science, Horticulture and Sericulture.
Admission into all B.Sc. courses is on the basis of merit in 10+2 examination. Counseling is done at the university level for the course. Candidates can fill in the admission form online and pay the entrance fee.
The minimum requirement is the successful completion 10+2 from a recognized board.

National Entrance Exam Test (NEET): NEET is a national level entrance exam that offers admission to all the medical courses. As per The Veterinary Council of India, candidates seeking admission in BVSc & AH courses must appear for NEET examination. The eligibility criteria of B.V.Sc. Animal Husbandry at AAU requires candidates must have passed 10+2 BCPE with 50% marks in aggregate for Gen/OBC/UPS and 47.5% for SC/ST/DAC in aggregate from a recognised board.
AUU admission process includes 4 steps. Step 1- Visit the official website of AAU Jorhat and click on the ‘Admission’ for AAU Jorhat admissions. Step 2- By clicking on ‘Admission’, it will take students to the registration page. Step 3- Before filling up the online application form, candidates must read the information bulletin and check the eligibility criteria. Step 4- AAU Jorhat application process includes three steps: registration, pay the application fee via payment gateway and fill in the application form.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in PCB/PCAg./PC forestry and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST/DAC category from a recognised board. for Gen/OBC/UPS and 47.5% for SC/ST/DAC in aggregate from a recognised board. The university offers a total of six courses: B.Sc. Agriculture Hons, B.Sc. Horticulture Hons, B.Sc. Community Science Hons, B.Sc. Food Nutrition and Dietetics Hons, B.Sc. Sericulture Hons and B.V.Sc. Animal Husbandry for Assam Agricultural University admissions. Candidates have to appear for an entrance examination for AAU Jorhat UG admissions. Admission to B.V.Sc. Animal Husbandry depends on the AIPVT counselling for which, candidates need to appear for NEET.
Students seeking admission into AAU, Johrat will be required to upload a few official documents during the AAU application process. Scanned passport size photograph, maximum size- 100 KB.
