Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, or BRABU, is a state-based government university which is approved by the UGC. It is also accredited the B grade by the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). The BRABU is one of the most popular and reputed institutes in Bihar and was established in 1960. It has a total of 39 constituent colleges, 17 affiliated colleges, and 2 business management colleges. Along with this, the college also provides facilities for distance learning for a few courses. The university has 59 courses which include courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. BRABU has 144 faculty members that support 1560 student enrollments.

The infrastructure is huge. I have graduated almost 24 years back. Even that time the college was huge. Situations have improved a lot in the recent time. There isn't just one hostel, but many. Also the food is very hygenic.
