72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by the Central University of South Bihar, Patna. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must have passed the M.Sc. Degree or it's equivalent in Chemistry/applied Chemistry or allied subjects (including biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, industrial chemistry, nanoscience, environmental science) from a recognized University with 55% in aggregate or its equivalent Grade B in UGC 7 point scale. A Relaxation of 5% of marks from 55 to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of Grade for SC/ST/OBC(Non-creamy layer)/Differently abled candidates.
Admission Details
Candidates who is qualified in a national level test such as National Eligibility Test (NET-JRF), NET-LS (without fellowship), Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) accredited by UGC/Central or State Government may be considered for direct admission to the Ph. D. Program without appearing in the CUCET Entrance Test. However, such candidates have to apply for the Non-creamy on the CUCET portal and pay the requisite fees.
