The Master of Science in Developmental Studies seeks to address critical developmental gaps in India and South Asia and create capacity and resources to meet the emerging needs for sustainable development. Development that is sustainable is of central importance in the agendas of numerous organizations ranging from corporations to NGOs, UN agencies, bi-lateral organizations, political parties, local government and international funding agencies. Students who opt for this programme will gain first-hand knowledge and skills to engage with rising issues such as global warming, limited energy resources, population growth and the rise of newer economies. Students will interact with international experts on themes that are of relevance world over. The programme will employ pedagogies such as problem-based learning, case studies and field visits.
Candidates applying for the above programmes must possess a recognized undergraduate degree with minimum 50% marks. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience. The duration of the programme shall be a minimum of 2 years to the maximum of 4 years with one-year extension given to students upon payment of an extension fee.
Admission will be based on qualifying examination marks and a Personal Interview.
