Davangere University is based in Shivagangothri part of Davangere in Karnataka. It was established in 2009 and the university has 112 colleges in total that are affiliated with it. It constitutes one constituent college and one autonomous college that offer a variety of graduate and postgraduate programmes in a variety of fields that cater to the education of more than 60000 students. The four facilities it offers for education include arts, science and technology, education, and commerce and management. The university is also recognised by the UGC and is a member of the AIU. A constituent college of the university, known as the University College of Visual Arts offers a foundation course for two years.

Step 1: The university has a placement cell that caters to the students' need for placements and guides them accordingly. The placement cell sets up a connection with the recruiting companies and provides them with an annexure that has to be filled with information about the recruitment that the companies want. It includes the number of vacancies, the posts and the salary.

Step 2: The university then informs the students about the same and further sets up arrangements for preplacement talks and other such events to prepare the students for the on-campus interviews.

Step 3: When the companies arrive on the university campus, the students first submit their documents and resumes. Then they have to sit for a written test that has questions regarding their general knowledge, aptitude, logical reasoning, technical skills, etc.

Step 4: The students who clear the test are further called in for the group discussions. Those who qualify for the group discussions are then called in for a personal interview.

Step 5: Once the students clear the personal interview, they are eligible for a job in the firm and are provided with an offer letter stating the same.
