Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Forestry (Hons.) is a four-year (8-Semester) full-time undergraduate course offered by College of Forestry, Solan (Nauni) at Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni and course is approved by ICAR.

Self-financing: 50
Candidates belonging to North-eastern region: 4
Candidates belonging to J&K UT: 2

15% of the total 50 HP Quota seats (Normal) shall be filled up by the ICAR through an All India Entrance Examination conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.

The remaining 85% seats shall be reserved for Bonafide Himachali candidates. These normal seats shall be filled up in the following manner:

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics from a recognized Board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% marks in case of SC/ ST/ PH category candidates/ in-service nominees of Himachal Pradesh) in the above subjects.

Candidate should have passed Examination of a University/ Board/ College/ School in a foreign country recognized by the Academic Council as equivalent to 10+2 with science subjects provided the candidate has obtained at least 60% aggregate marks or ‘B’ grade/equivalent.

Admission Details

Admission shall be done through an objective type entrance test (UGET). Details of the same are given in Chapter-III. However, the candidates applying for admission against self-financing seats are exempted from entrance test.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is great, it provides the best facilities to the students from sports to the academics. The laboratories libraries and classrooms are updated each classroom is having the smart borads and hostels are provides free wifi for the students residing there.
