Reservation of Seats:
The HP quota seats/seats open for all shall be filled up in the following manner:-
- 22.5% of the total seats under HP quota shall be reserved for scheduled caste (15%) and scheduled tribe (7.5%). The benefit of this reservation shall be applicable to the bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh. In case the candidates in either of the two categories are not available, the seat(s) will be interchangeable.
Note:In case, the candidates as prescribed in above clause are selected according to their position in the combined general merit list, shall not be counted for covering the prescribed percentage of reservation.
- Five seats are reserved for nominee of State Government/ Industries.
The merit of the candidate will be determined keeping in view the reservation of various categories. In case of nominees, inter-se merit shall be determined.
- The basis of admission shall be merit as determined by the 10+2 examination.
- n case two or more candidates obtain the same percentage of marks, the elder in age shall be considered for admission.
A candidate must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized University/Board with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks (35% marks in case of SC/ST) from any recognized board.
