My experience in the college is quite good.

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

There are all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment in classrooms, libraries, sports centres. Like, WiFi, AC etc. Mess foods are quite good. However, the canteen foods are not much hygienic. Hostels are far better than any other centra university's hostels.

    Academics

Academics are way too good. Especially in the dept of Germanic studies. Professors are qualified and helpful, strict and punctual. I think there should be a development in the curriculum, which can help the students to make job-ready.

    Placements

Placement opportunities are okay. After covid, it has reduced a lot. Amazon, Oppo come mostly. Highest salary package is 50k/month. During job interviews and placements, college is supportive. However it's quite hard to get an internship in the field of language.

    Value for Money

Mess food and room rent is quite affordable. Room rent 225/- and mess bill comes around 2k/month.

    Campus Life

There's a good campus life. Campus is small and clean. Nature oriented campus. But fests are not much interesting. It's fun with friends but comparing to other universities, it's not.

    Others

EFLU is one of the best universities for foreign language courses in India. Period.

    College Infrastructure

Overall infrastructure regarding academics is fine for the most part. Classes are equipped with digital education tools(projectors and such). You'll find dismantled tables/desks here and there but that's about it. It has a neat sports complex, encompassing multiple sports primarily: basketball, badminton, and Volleyball. A smalll scale and disorderly ground for football and cricket, basically scattered debris. Library is quite fascinating, an amazing range of books with computers installed as well, sections of thesis and air conditioned spaces inside. Hostels are not very talk worthy, mediocre at best. Poor maintenance due to lethargic and lack of janitors. A decent computer lab, which could use some discipline, people leave their books and devices on the table for weeks and nothing is done about it. A decent canteen with reasonable prices on items, great tea stall though. A green scenic campus which is conveniently small, which means every necessity is at a walking distance.

    Academics

This ranges from pure heaven to pure disappointment. Most professors are well versed with their area of expertise but not all of them are great teachers. A handful of teachers carry very fragile ego, and this is no exaggeration. Threats have been delivered during classes for merely asking the professor to be more informative regarding cancellation of classes. Definitely have some of the greatest minds here no doubt. Lacks in updating the curriculum or handbooks.

    Placements

Placements are generally offered based on student performance. And, I could be wrong, only provided to foreign language students. I haven't come across an English student who landed a placement, I doubt they are even offered any.

    Value for Money

    Definitely value for money.

    Campus Life

It would've been perfect but the student bodies and several clubs often make the air disheartening with their unnecessary protests and such.

    College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is impressive. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with modern teaching aids like smart boards. The library is well-stocked with books and provides a quiet environment for studying. Laboratories are well-maintained with the necessary equipment. The campus also has good Wi-Fi connectivity. The hostels are clean and offer hygienic food. There are sports facilities as well, which encourage students to stay active. Overall, the infrastructure meets academic and extracurricular needs effectively.

    Academics

The academic experience has been quite enriching. The faculty members are supportive, experienced, and approachable. They use practical methods to ensure that students understand the concepts thoroughly. The curriculum is well-structured and regularly updated to match industry trends. There is a good balance of theoretical and practical learning. Assignments, projects, and presentations help in developing a deeper understanding of subjects. I believe the academic environment truly prepares students to be job-ready.

    Placements

Placement opportunities could definitely be improved. Only a few companies visit the campus, and even then, the selection process is highly competitive. The average salary packages are on the lower side. Some students do get placed, but a significant number either go for higher studies or find jobs off-campus. The placement cell tries to support students, but the opportunities provided are not sufficient for everyone. Better collaborations with companies could make a real difference here.

    Value for Money

I feel that the college offers good value for money. The fees are quite affordable when compared to other private institutions, and the quality of education, infrastructure, and facilities justifies the cost. With qualified faculty, updated curriculum, and decent infrastructure, the amount paid annually feels reasonable. While placements could be better, the exposure and learning experiences do contribute to long-term value. Overall, it’s a good investment for the future.

    Campus Life

Campus life is vibrant and memorable. There are various clubs and societies that students can join based on their interests—be it cultural, sports, technical, or literary. Events and fests are organized frequently, giving students a platform to showcase their talents and relax from academic stress. The crowd is friendly, and you’ll find a good mix of people from different parts of the country. The campus feels safe and welcoming, and you always feel part of a community.

EFLU is worth every penny imo.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure at EFLU Hyderabad is modest but sufficient for academic activities. The classrooms are equipped with whiteboards and projectors, although smart boards are limited. The library is one of the best aspects of the campus, offering a rich collection of books, journals, and quiet reading spaces. There’s campus-wide Wi-Fi, but the speed is inconsistent at times. Hostels are functional but basic, with shared bathrooms and limited ventilation. The mess food is average and hygiene is maintained decently. While not luxurious, the campus is clean and green, with enough facilities to support a focused academic environment.

    Academics

EFLU Hyderabad offers a strong academic environment, especially for students interested in languages, linguistics, and literature. The faculty is highly qualified, with many professors actively involved in research and publication. Classes are intellectually stimulating, with regular assignments, presentations, and discussions that encourage critical thinking. The curriculum is well-structured and updated to reflect contemporary academic needs, especially for English and foreign language departments. Language labs, cultural activities, and seminars enrich the learning experience. However, at times, the academic calendar can be unpredictable, and there’s limited industry exposure or placement support. Overall, it's an excellent place for academic depth and research-oriented learning.

    Placements

Placements at EFLU Hyderabad are not the primary focus of the university, as it is more academically inclined and research-oriented. While there is a placement cell, the opportunities are relatively limited compared to technical or business institutes. Some students do secure jobs in fields like content writing, translation, teaching, publishing, and corporate communication. Companies like Amazon and publishing houses have visited in the past, but the packages are usually modest. For language students, internships and freelance work are more common than direct campus placements. Overall, students aiming for placements need to actively seek opportunities outside campus through networking and personal initiative.

It’s a great college for foreign languages.

    College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is really good. All the classrooms are well maintained and equipped with WiFi and some has projectors as well. The hostel rooms are clean but some floors have really dirty washrooms so just check the floors washrooms before choosing your room.

    Academics

I am currently pursuing bachelor’s in Japanese language, i chose this language as i am an otaku and i really like the Japanese culture. All of our faculty members have studied in Japan or lived there before so you will get learn from them alot. I think if you clear JLPT n2 by third year of your degree then you will easily get a job with a decent package here in India.

    Placements

The placements is pretty decent as concerned to the Japanese department, a lot of Japanese companies comes to hire students and some of seniors got the opportunity to work in Japan as well. The average package starts from 6-7lakh per annum.

    Value for Money

The semester fees and the hostel fees is really less, you can give it out of your pocket money as well. And the quality of living you get here after paying such a little amount is amazing.

    Campus Life

The campus is full of greenery, the exposure you will get here is really good, you will get to meet people from different backgrounds and cultures. There a lot of clubs that you can join to make your college life more fun. And let me tell you Hyderabad is a really safe place to live in and EFLU is a closed campus so you won’t have to worry about your safety.

    Others

If you are interested in learning foreign language then i would highly recommend you to come here.

The college has almost all the facilities but some are not working properly like we have washing machines but that doesn't work. The classrooms has wifi, projectors which we use for presentation. Hostels are good but washrooms are not that clean and water logging problem is there. Otherwise living places are clean and food is good.

    Academics

    Placements

Speaking of placements my department does not have that much good package placements. But the placements cell is working properly and they do welcomes recruiters. Foreign language department students has good placements of average salary package is between 5 to 6 lakhs.

    Academics

    Placements

Placements cell is functional and it does provides good Placements to it's students. However, my senior told that for our English Department it is not that good. Foreign Languages Department such as Arabic, French have good Placements.

There were some ups and down but it was okay

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure offered includes library, gym for both girls and boys. Hostel facilities are separate for both Indian nationals and foreign students. Hostel has watercoolers in every floors, geysers, Wifi facilities. The living spaces are clean and maintains hygienic food.

    Academics

From the course point of view, i really liked trying different fields of offered in the course. In my course, they did not stick only to the literature part but also included some linguistics, ELT, research, presentation etc. So there was a mix of variety. The quality of teaching depends on the professors handling.

    Placements

The placement scope for English language departments is lesser than that of foreign languages. The placement cell is active and there are many students who got placed in renowned companies like Amazon.

Yes. The EFl university has all the infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The classes have projector, white boards, and some are also air-conditioned. The hostels are good but the washrooms are not that clean and washing machines all are not working. Wifi is available but you will not get range everywhere.

    Academics

I am doing MA in Arabic. the teachers are highly educated and very good at teaching the best thing is they communicate with us in Arabic which was missing in my UG college. So we will also learn to speak. The curriculum is updated.

    Placements

I am a fresher so I don't have much knowledge about placements. But one of my seniors who is my best friend got placed in Amazon from same department through University placements and earning upto 50k per month. So the placements cell is working properly.
