Eligibility Criteria

UGC Junior Research Fellowship in Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences (JRF)

Rs. 10,000 per year

Candidates who have cleared the national-level test conducted by the UGC are eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs.16000. HRA is provided as per university regulations for those living off-campus.

Senior Research Fellowship

Rs. 20,500 per years

Candidates who receive UGC Junior Research Fellowships for two years may qualify for UGC Senior Research Fellowships following a review process. They are entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs.18000.

National Fellowship for Higher Education of ST Students

Candidates who are ST and enrolled as regular, full-time Ph.D. students are eligible for a fellowship funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

UGC JRF and Research Associateship for Foreign Nationals

Foreign nationals are granted fellowships by the UGC, but the number of these fellowships is limited.

Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child for PG Students

Rs. 2,000 per month

Candidates who are Single Girl Child students pursuing PG programs may receive fellowships from the UGC upon application, contingent upon satisfactory attendance and progress in their studies.

Savitribai Jyotirao Phule fellowship for Single Girl Child

Rs. 10,000

Candidates who are Single Girl Child students registered for a Ph.D. may receive a monthly stipend of Rs.31000/- along with HRA as per rules, if residing outside the campus.

UGC Non-NET Fellowship

Rs. 8,000 per annum

Candidates without any current fellowship or scholarship may apply for the UGC Non-NET Fellowship through the Supervisor & Dean of the School/Head of the Department/Campus. Eligible candidates, including Ph.D. students, receive Rs.8000/- per month for 3 years, extendable by one year.
