Master of Arts (MA) in Hindi is a full-time two-year postgraduate course offered by Hindi University, Howrah.

Candidates graduating with Honours in Hindi or studying Hindi as a major subject at the Degree level are eligible for applying to the PG Course in Hindi as well as Anuvad Sahitya (Translation Studies).
Admission is strictly merit based and the entire process from Form filling to confirmation of admission by payment of fees is conducted in stand-alone online mode.
Reservations for SC (22%)/ ST (6%)/ OBC A (10%) / OBC B (7%) PH (3%) candidates shall be applicable as per Government rules, directives and constitutional provisions.
For candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories, as mandated by the Government, there will be a relaxation of the minimum eligibility criteria (cut-off percentage) by 10%. (Provided the candidate has secured the qualifying marks in the Honours subject)
Admission is provisional and is liable to be cancelled if at a later stage any discrepancy is found regarding data submitted online or any suppression of fact or any violation of basic eligibility criteria is detected.
