JEE Advanced is the entrance exam required for seeking admission to the Indian Institute of Technology Goa for an undergraduate course. Students need to obtain qualifying scores in this competitive exam. The admissions are then given on the basis of a centralised admission system. The admission criterion depends on the eligibility as well as scores depending on the candidates’ caste.
After appearing for the JEE exam, students may want to know their chances of getting admission in their desired institution. Some of the factors that determine the admission cut-off for IIT Goa are as follows:
Number of students appearing in the year: The admissions can get really tough if there are more students appearing for the exam in a year. The IIT Goa cut-off immediately goes up as the number of candidates increases in order to accommodate admissions for all the qualified students.
The difficulty level of the exam: This is another factor affecting the IIT Goa cut-off. The more the difficulty, the higher the chances of the cut-off dropping. Therefore, one must verify from sources the level of difficulty.
Total number of available seats: The cut-off factor is also affected by the number of seats that are available in an institution. The fewer the seats, the more is the cut-off for IIT Goa going to be. So students must keep up with their scores.
Program applications: JEE cut-off varies from course to course. Therefore, the Indian Institute of Technology Goa cut-off also varies for different courses. The number of applications received per course also affects the cut-off heavily. The more applications for a specific programme, the higher is the cut-off.
Candidate category: Last but not the least, the category through which candidates seek admission, i.e. general/open, OBC, ST, SC, etc. also affects the admission cut-off for IIT Goa. There is a reserved number of seats available for every category depending on which the cut-off is set.
Candidates can compare the JEE cut-off for two recent years 2019 and 2020 from the tables below. The difference is quite noticeable. Since 2020 witnessed a pandemic that resulted in national lockdown, the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate compared to last year. Subjects like Chemistry and Mathematics were set to a moderate level whereas for Physics it was set to a big higher level of difficulty. Therefore, the cut-offs were comparatively low for this year. For every category, the closing ranks seem to have reduced, and admissions weren’t as tough as last year.

When compared with the other newly established IITs, the cut-off for IIT Goa is slightly on the higher side. This trend is attributed to the fact that the quality of education here is excellent. On analysing the IIT Goa B.Tech Cut-Off it is certainly possible to determine the changing preferences of the students in terms of the course they wish to pursue.

Hello.
See it is difficult to choose one between the two. The two are very different courses have it's won perks and cons. It all depends upon you what you choose. You have to know your interests, your skills and understand what seems more interesting to you. Then comes what your rank is as you'll be selected on the basis of that. However, IIT Bombay better than IIT goa, but you need to choose the college depending upon the course that you are interested in opting for.
It is suggested you go through the list of colleges you want to apply in and make your own preference list. for example It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/OBC category is lower than the general category CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced. It should be noted the cut off for OBC/ EWS/ SC/ ST category is lower than the general category
