Batch of 2019 | B.Tech Electrical Engineering
The college provides students with lots of opportunities to explore. Multiple internships and research opportunities are provided very often and on a regular basis. The college also invited eminent speakers and conducts frequent seminars. Hostel life is good and can be better with added sport facilities. The professors are approachable and also guide students through their college life. The placements offered by this college are good and are definitely expected to get better over the coming years.

IIT Hyderabad has been the fastest growing IIT among the ones that have been set up recently. The hostels are yet to be completed on the new campus, at the time of writing this review. However, the senior students and most of the MTechs and PhDs have shifted to the new campus, at Kandi. The classes have been functioning in the Academic building in the new campus for more than one semester now. The college is constantly in touch with emerging companies and Hyderabad being a hub for startups only makes things better. At any college, the role of faculty would be to guide, rather than teach in the manner that schools do, and IITH is no exception. The faculty are extremely friendly and this makes having productive discussions on subjects very easy. Placements have been looking up in the recent times, as emerging companies have begun to take notice of the talent that emerges from the college. There is, obviously, the scope for improvement, in bringing established companies on campus too, and efforts are being made in the area. The hostels in the temporary campus provide a calming ambience for students. There is also enough space for students to go on walks, even to parks, and to play. There is no shortage of eateries in and around the campus, and people can only be spoilt for choice. On the whole, IIT Hyderabad provides a great platform for career and personality development but relies on the students to utilise it to the fullest.

Life at IITH a unique experience

My life at college is very pleasant. The overall teaching and the co-operation of the faculty are fine. Of course, the study here is more tedious and competitive compared to most other regional colleges. The infrastructure of our campus is an eye-catching feature. Unfortunately, not all the students are shifted there, as it is not constructed completely. So the temporary campus is not at all exciting to stay. The only advantage with it is that it is surrounded by greenery everywhere. It allows fresh air and a nice look of plants and animals. It is compulsory for every student to reside in their own hostel after entering it by passing one of the challenging tests in the world. I found a lot of good friends here and enjoy myself by spending most of my time with them.
