24 MonthsThis is a research-driven masters program meant for candidates with an exceptional background in one of the bioinformatics related domains. The duration of the course may extend beyond 2 yrs. Based on the decision of the academic committee, some of the core courses prescribed for the M Tech program may be waived for MS by research students, depending on their background. They must, however, fulfill the minimum credit requirements for electives and thesis respectively.
Duration: Around one year of coursework followed by thesis work. Approximate duration of 2 yrs.
Eligibility Criteria
BE/BTech in CS/IT/Biotech/Bioinformatics or Master's degree in Programming/Maths/Sciences.
Admission Details
Admissions will be based on the performance in the entrance test and followed by an interview. The computer-based entrance test will be conducted in many cities across India on April last The tentative date of the interview to be held at IIIT Hyderabad will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates soon after the entrance test. The candidate has to clear the interview to get the admission into PG programmes.
