The Department of Computer Applications gained its individuality and got separated from the Department of Mathematics in the year 2005. The department offers three years Masters program in Computer Applications(MCA). The department accentuates value based quality education through dedicated well qualified highly technocratic faculty members involved in latest areas of research such as cloud computing, computer networking, information retrieval and data mining. The department facilitates well-equipped laboratory empowering students to become intellectual explorer and assist them to get high placements in various organizations of national and international repute.

Admission through NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test).
Eligibility Criteria
Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD) in:
- B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT / B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications) of minimum three years full-time programme from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects.
- B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University.
