Sabarmati University prioritises the placement process and provides counselling and assistance for placement-related activities to all registered students. The university has set eligibility criteria, which includes securing a minimum of 60% in senior secondary school onwards and in the external examination held by Sabarmati University, Ahmedabad. Students must have cleared their graduation or post-graduation programs without any backlogs. Upon meeting the eligibility criteria, students are given the option to choose a company for placement based on their specialisation, subject to the aforementioned conditions. However, if a student fails to attend an interview after being given an appointment, they will be blacklisted and barred from attending any other company's interview.

Once a student is placed in a company of their choice, they cannot attend any other interview directed from the concerned School/Department, whether off-campus or on-campus, but they are free to find another job on their own. If a student withdraws in the middle of the selection process, they will be disqualified from the placement process for the rest of the year. Unauthorised absence from an interview will lead to barring from placement, and a student who does not wish to participate in the placement process must write a letter to the placement committee explaining the reason for their withdrawal. Students must attend Pre-Placement Talks (PPTs) with the companies to understand the job profile that will be offered. 

The placement session is an ongoing process that starts from the enrollment of the student in the university, and students are expected to attend all developmental activities organised by the placement cell throughout their course of study. Campus placement involves interacting with external entities, and students are advised to display good professional conduct while interacting with them. The university also provides pre-placement training for eligible students, including interview training, negotiation skills, technical training, and aptitude/reasoning/logical analysis training.
