72 MonthsPh.D. program in English shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
A Master's degree in English, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, or a related discipline with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale, if applicable). A relaxation of 5% is provided for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled candidates.
Candidates who have cleared UGC-NET (LS) or Category III for admission to the Ph.D. program.
