IISER KOLKATA IS THE BEST INSTITUTE OF INDIA FOR RESEARCH IN PHYSICAL SCIENCES CHEMICAL SCIENCES MATHEMATICS BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES AND COMPUTER SCIENCE. IT IS A STATE OF THE EARTH INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH OF BASIC SCIENCES.

In iiser Kolkata legendary teachers of our country teach the students how to pursue research in laboratory and classrooms. Students are taught how to write research papers projects and they are encouraged to do their project even in outside institutes.

Most of the students of iiser Kolkata usually go to the renowned institutions for higher studies. Some of them do MBA and some students also go for job. Some renowned institute like TCS come to the institute for the placement.

Students have to spend nearly 80000 in a year but most of them get scholarship with which they can give their fees and avail food and other facilities. Students get world class infrastructure in very reasonable price.

Here all the students must have to spend their student life in the hostel. There are a swimming pool a football ground a cricket ground table tennis and lawn tennis field basketball field and a very well student activities centre.

The institute is situated nearly 40 km away from Kolkata but the students can spend their valuable life at a place of seren beauty and they could learn their studies in a peace and quiet atmosphere.

Facilities and infrastructure are quite good and satisfactory, like Wi-Fi, which is available 24 hours a day in all the labs, classrooms & libraries, as well as on the hostel premises. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is decent and very much eatable but it depends on the taste of the individual. Medical facilities are available on campus and ambulance services are there for any emergency.

The curriculum here is kind of open. Teachers decide the location of the course by observing students' status. You are welcome to question everything the teacher says (if you're not being annoying? ). The faculty members are good (not so good, if I remember my first semester). But in the second semester, the faculty members are amazing.

Not many people get placed in our college; in our college, people getting a Ph.D. are more preferred. Only 4 people were placed with an average package of 11 LPA in Deloitte and TCS. Almost every student gets internships here under different professors.
