Bachelor of Art in Japanese Honours is a full-time four-year duration undergraduate course and this degree offered by Visva Bharati Santiniketan.

Eligibility Criteria

For General Candidates: 60% marks in aggregate, 60% in General English and 60% in Japanese at the +2 level or candidates qualifying N4 level Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or 3 level of old Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).
For OBC Candidates: 54% marks in aggregate, 54% in General English and 54% in Japanese at the +2 level. or candidates qualifying N4 level Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or 3 level of old Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).

Admission Details

Admission will be made in order of merit on the basis of marks obtained in the admission test.

College Infrastructure

There is a smart TV in each classroom and university network is also available .There are many useful books in the library. Everything is well - maintained . Especially Japanese movie screening on every Friday is truly beneficial for Japanese listening practice

College Infrastructure

The college has all the equipments that we need in the class like wifi, smart TVs, speakers,etc. But we do not have sufficient chairs and benches so we have to sit on the floor while lectures. The living spaces are clean enough, the garden has a good view, well maintained. I personally love the library service of the university.

My experience so far was very amazing. Highly recommended

College Infrastructure

Very good faculty and infrastructure for studying a foreign language. Interactive classes with highly qualified teaching staff. The cleanliness of the department is also regularly maintained. Students get to learn the course in depth with amazing teaching methods used by the Professors here.
