Eligibility Criteria
- For General Candidates: Passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination during 2017 and 2018 with 60 % marks in the aggregate in Science, Commerce and Humanities. The subjects from humanities stream are English, Geography, History, Home Science, Nutrition, Political Science, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Statistics Education, Hindi and Bengali. any other subject from humanities stream will not be counted for calculation of four best subjects for BSW programme.
- For OBC Candidates: Passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination during 2017 and 2018 with 54% marks in the aggregate in Science, Commerce and Humanities. The subjects from humanities stream are English, Geography, History, Home Since, Nutrition, Political Science, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Statistics Education Hindi and Bengali. any other subject from humanities stream will not be counted for calculation of four best subjects for BSW programme.
- For SC, ST & PWD Candidates: Relaxation will be given to SC, ST & PWD candidates as per Govt. of India rules.
- Foreign Students: To apply through proper channel as per University rules having the required eligibility.

Visva-Bharati's BSW in Sriniketan offers a serene, nature-filled campus. While classrooms are basic and buildings are aging, the departmental library is excellent. The field work unit provides strong rural exposure, which is essential for the course. Hostels are available but offer only basic amenities.
