This college is spread over a very small area but have a well developed infrastructure. Although it lacks some basic facilities like proper wifi network and not all classrooms are well equipped as per required.
There are plenty of highly educated professors but lack the ability to teach. Mostly you have to rely on self study. But apart from academics you'll get wide exposure to other technical events organised in collaboration with other institutions.
As far as I have seen, almost everyone gets placed, although the average is very less and job opportunity in core engineering is also less. So to compete you need to master your skills. Although, under the guidance of several professors you can achieve get lengths.
The infrastructure is well and good, we have various sports facilities, a huge library with all books available and well equipped classrooms. Additionally, we have separate laboratories for each department and each section with latest installed equipments. The classrooms are also well maintained with projectors installed in each one of them.
I was a student of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department. The faculty members are very helpful and knowledgable. There is nothing more required than their notes to crack papers like GATE apart from the semester ones.
We have hundred percent placements here. I myself have been placed in Rashmi Metaliks which is a very good company. All of my batchmates have been placed in several other good companies including ashok leyland, JSW, Vedanta etc. with a decent package.
This college is a blend of good infrastructure and well equipped with all the facilities. All the buildings and hostels are well furnished. Although the management is a bit slow in terms of getting worked done.
Currently a 3rd year engineering student. All the faculties here are well educated and qualified. Alongside with the classes, they organise a number of technical and cultural events. This college not only teaches but makes you industry ready.
With various Big and known companies like vedanta, L&T as our recruiters, we have a very good placement records till date. A separate placement cell is responsible for smooth conduction of all the processes.

So, you walk into NIAMT, and the first thing you notice is how green it is. It's not one of those concrete jungles; it's got this nice, earthy feel. The campus is huge—67 acres—and it's a chill place to hang out. The buildings are old, for sure, but they’re not falling apart. They’re just... retro. Classrooms are modern enough with those smart boards, so you don’t feel like you’re in a time warp. The labs are pretty solid, especially for the core branches like metallurgy. We're talking top-notch equipment there. The library is massive, too. The dorms are okay, but don't expect a luxury hotel. You get a roommate in your first year, but after that, you get your own room, which is a big win. The food? It’s hostel food—you'll have good days and bad days. It’s a completely residential campus, so you get to know everyone, which is cool. It's a tight-knit community, which is a major plus point .
The academics here are laser-focused on manufacturing. They’re not just teaching you stuff from a textbook; they're trying to make you "industry-ready." The professors are a mixed bag, like at any college. Some are brilliant, with degrees from top IITs, and they’re really helpful. Others, not so much. The syllabus can feel a bit old-school sometimes, and you might wish for more hands-on, practical sessions. But hey, it’s a good foundation, and the curriculum is solid for preparing for exams like GATE. You'll have two exams per semester, and the passing rate is super high, so you're not constantly stressed about failing.
This is where NIAMT really shines, especially if you're into core engineering. Forget all the hype about IT jobs; this place is all about the real-world stuff. Placements are crazy good, like 95-100% for the main branches like Metallurgy and Mechanical. The average salary is decent . The best part? Since the student intake is low, there’s less competition.
hiii ,
you take the branch that you like if you want to study IT then you should join metallurgy and and study tech
