The infrastructure of the college is average. The chairs and tables are very old and some of them are broken. The lighting in the classroom is good. The window air-conditioners are also old they just blow air, as long as someone is near to air-conditioner, they will feel it. Else for the size of the classroom, the air-conditioners are not that powerful. The projector is good. Wi-Fi signals are not strong but it works and many useful sites are blocked. There is always construction going on so it's always dusty and loud. The canteens are average to good and prices are high. There is no international food chain company like Dominos, KFC, etc.
Curriculum relevance is average. Many things are missing that should be taught compared to some good government colleges. In previous years, there were no relevance between subjects, but slowly it's coming on track now. We learn everything on our own. Most of the teachers come to class and just tell us what is the work, not how, or why and it's not safe to question them or else, a student might lose a year and they will not thing twice, they will just do it, so be careful. Some teachers are helpful. Students can clear their doubts after class also and their teaching is understandable.
There is low placement in the MBEM department. Students search for work on their own. To get jobs outside of the campus, your portfolio should be good. Regarding internships, half the class did unpaid internships. Some worked in teacher's firm only and very few students got paid internships, that was recommended by teachers.
There were many Wi-Fi routers available in our college. Best labs and best smart classrooms are provided. There are three libraries available in our college. Even the best facilities are provided for sports. Occasionally every year, many games are organised for students. Our college is the best.
Our college had the best teachers. They were very helpful, more qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was also the best. I am very happy with the studies in this college. They taught us in a very polite manner. It was a good decision to study at this college as it is the best.
Above 90% of the students of our college get placed. The highest salary offered is of 1.80 per month, and the lowest salary offered is of Rs. 75,000 per month. The average salary offered is of Rs. 35,000 per month. Google offered the highest salary package, and some multinational companies offered the lowest salary package. In our college, more than 90% of the students get an internship from our course in the best companies.
The facilities and the infrastructure available to us on our campus are amazing, as they provide us with 24*7 Wi-Fi and electricity, and only this means that our entire college is equipped with cameras, therefore making campus life safe for girls and making it a safe place.
The faculty, curriculum, and exams of our course are such that the exams are conducted on a semester basis, making it easy for students to pass and clear the exam just by studying a day before exams. The course curriculum is relevant in comparison to the industry requirements.
The percentage of students placed in our college is extremely low, as this course is not much in demand and therefore most of the students are willing to open their venture, which makes the placement percentage in our college low, i.e., 82%, according to data for our year.
Everything here is top-notch. The campus is less than 10 years old, so most of the amenities are considered quite modern. Our hostel has a warm water facility and it is also cleaned regularly. We can have coolers installed in our rooms but that will include electricity costs. The best part is that each room has a balcony between the rooms for double occupancy and we have communal washrooms. The mess is managed by the students for the students so you can expect good-quality food here. We have a new academic block this year and that building is very beautiful to study in. Our campus has a fast 450 mbps connection in college but only 150 mbps of Wi-Fi in our hostels. The library is small considering the size of the campus, but we have good access to leading online journals
The teachers are highly qualified; most of them are practicing architects and have a good number of projects under their name. They are highly knowledgeable and are very supportive when it comes to learning. Most of them have more than 10 years of experience; you can expect the best teachers in our nation to teach here. The curriculum is very hectic. Some of us have mental breakdowns due to work loads. That is why I am not giving it 5 stars. We work like animals here; day and night, you will see us working in our studios and hostel rooms. And the curriculum is the reason.
Placements are average here; you can expect 7 to 12 LPA. But after a few years of experience, you can be at 20 to 24 LPA. We do have a placement cell but that is not that active at bringing high-paying companies up to this point in time.
The hostel is one of the best features of the college. The rooms are clean and airy with private balconies every 2 rooms. The rooms are shared, 2 students each room. The rooms are spacious and designed well. The campus is residential, so all the students are house in the college and adequate seats are available for every student. The washrooms are clean. There is a courtyard for students where games can be played. There are also common rooms, a gym, a music room and a tv area.
The course Masters of regional planning is suited for student who are interested in broader scope of urban development and sustainability. The course is fun and enjoyable, with site visits and works. The exams are moderate; it's not that hard for paper or for viva. It will, according to externals, mostly bring experienced externals. The faculty members are highly qualified and have a lot of experience. The faculty members will clarify any doubts for the student and we can call the faculty members if we have doubt. or approach their cabins. There will be minimum of 2 faculty members for one subject and for the main subject, there will be 3 faculty members.
It's a course where there aren't many campus placements. A few come and take a select few students. They generally check the CGPA and portfolio of the students and choose the tentative students based on that. The interview process usually consists of a few general and a few professional questions. The tentative percentage of students placed is somewhere between 20 and 30 percent.
The hostels are very good, the rooms are big, clean, and adequately maintained; the bathrooms are below average, as there is only one washroom per 30 rooms; every room has a balcony; the mess is in the hostel itself; there is a badminton court, a table tennis table, and a TV in the common. Wi-Fi is okay at best, with speeds ranging from 1 to 60 mbps, depending on the location of your room. Sports facilities are pretty poor. The basketball court is okay, as is the badminton court, but except for that, nothing is taken care of. The football field is small and never has grass. The cricket ground is unusable for more than half of the academic year, and the other volleyball court is substandard.
The difficulty of the semester depends on the faculty you get; there are some egoistic teachers who will put you back a year without a second thought, and there are teachers who will pass you with good marks even when you do just the bare minimum. Life is hectic during the semester with endless submissions. The schedule is tightly paced; you barely get time for extracurricular activities. Half of the teachers are employed just because someone from their family is already teaching here; nepotism in teaching positions is insanity. Husbands, wives, and cousins of teachers are very common. The teachers here are a bit ruthless as an independent institute, and they do what they want.
Only a few students get placed every year as there are very few jobs in architecture, the recruiting companies pay very little, the working hours are very high, and there is no work-life balance. The only way out is to start your own firm. Most students pursue Masters either in planning or go abroad rather than getting placed.
SPA delhi has a quite big and beautiful campus. The infrastructure available was good and all kinds of facilities were given to the students, which were of good quality. The college has Wi-Fi, labs, a library, a canteen, a sports complex, etc. for the students. Hostel facilities were also given to the students. The food in the hostel mess was good to eat. Hostel rooms had proper furniture.
The faculty of the SPA Delhi was helpful, qualified and knowledgeable about our course. All the teachers were offering good-quality teaching. The course curriculum of the college is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Teachers help students with their projects. Semester exams at the college were not hard to pass.
Numerous placements and internship opportunities were given to the students of the Master of urban planning program at SPA delhi. Around 50–60% of the students successfully completed our course at this college. The average package offered at the college was between 4 and 8 LPA. The top recruiters at the college were Genesis, Ajio Luxe, and Nod Urban Lab for the roles of architect, urban designer, etc. in our course.
Infrastructure available for our urban planning course was well maintained and developed at SPA. All the necessary facilities were available for the students in the college campus. Wi-Fi, labs, library, canteen, classrooms, halls, sports complex, hostel, medical etc. facilities were available for the college students. All these facilities were of good quality.
Our teachers are well-qualified. They have completed their master's degrees. They are Ph.D. holders. The course curriculum is relevant. It has a good scope for the future in urban planning and development. Semester exams are not much difficult. The pass percentage is 60%.
We get internship opportunities in our eighth semester as part of the curriculum. The duration of the internship ranges from 4 to 8 months, which varies as per the interest of the intern, firm, and work. We also have a placement cell. Some top companies that visited the college include Deloitte, EY, CBRE, EGIS, JLL, etc. The average salary package is around 5 LPA and the highest is 10 LPA.
One of the best architecture college in the world. Our college is very old. We have all the necessary infrastructure. Our college Is in 500 acers. We have a very big indoor sports complex. We play badminton there. Food is tasty and hostels are spacious. Wifi is there in campus.
