The Indian Institute of Carpet Technology, popularly regarded as IICT, was founded by the Ministry of Textiles under the Government of India in 1998. Since then the IICT has become a fully functioning organisation in 2001 with the introduction of the B. Tech. (Carpet & Textile Technology) programme, a unique degree course in Asia, that acknowledged only 20 admissions but was eventually extended to 60.
The Indian Institute of Carpet Technology provides courses in four different modes such as Regular Courses, Distance Courses, Short term Courses and Foreign Language Courses.
Candidates who meet the IICT B.Tech eligibility criteria must follow the following steps for admissions. They should
· Fill and submit the IICT online application form.
· Appear for the IICT UG examination conducted by JEE [MAIN].
· Meet the IICT B.Tech cut-off requirement to qualify.
· Participate in the IICT counselling process.
· If allotted a seat, they should complete the IICT admission formalities and pay the fees.
IICT Admission Procedure for B.Tech Programs
IICT offers admission to the BTech programs in Carpet and Textile Technology [CTT], and thereafter specializations are also offered in courses such as Advances in Carpet Technology [ACT], Home Textile Technology [HTT], Textile Design Technology [TDT].

IICT B.Tech Admission through All India Joint Entrance Examination [JEE MAIN]
Admission into the B.Tech course at IICT is made based on the results of the Joint Entrance Examination conducted all over India. The candidates must qualify the JEE MAINS examination to get admissions. IICT cut-off is released by the authorities. IICT B.Tech admission has been mentioned below.
· Students should submit the online application form of Indian Institute of Technology.
· Students should appear for the All-India Joint Entrance Examination.
· IICT admissions are made based on the rank in the All-India Joint Entrance Examination [JEE-MAINS] and candidates are shortlisted for the admission process.
· Students appear for the final admission process.

These courses are open to candidates who have cleared their 10th from any recognized Board with Mathematics as a compulsory subject, but the candidate must be able to converse in English & be Computer friendly to cope up with the course material. Exposure of the relevant field is preferable.
The admission procedure at IICT depends on the rank in JEE MAINS and the counselling process.
The IICT cut-off is released by the authorities. The cut-off is in the form of opening and closing ranks.
Candidates should pass 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/any technical/vocational subject as optional, from a recognized board with a minimum 50% aggregate mark taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
The IICT provides courses in four different modes such as Regular Courses, Distance Courses, Short term Courses and Foreign Language Courses. In the regular course mode, the students can opt for 4 years full-time BTech Course in Carpet, and Textile Technology [CTT] and thereafter specializations are also offered in courses such as Advances in Carpet Technology [ACT], Home Textile Technology [HTT], Textile Design Technology [TDT]. In distance mode, IICT offers 7 diploma and 30 certificate courses known as the International Distance Learning Program [IDLP] in the fields of wool, carpet and textile.
The teaching style of the faculty in this college is very good. The syllabus of the college is very similar to the syllabus of the gate exam, which is very beneficial for the student. Here students study textile, fiber, dyeing, yarn manufacturing, etc.

As per the previous year cutoff data, he minimum marks required in GUCET to take admission in Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar are 120 marks. Please note that admission is based on both board and GUJCET marks, where 60% weightage is given to board exam marks. So, you are also required to have a very good score in board exams also to get admission in DAIICT.
