Uma Nath Singh Autonomous State Medical College has a developing but well-planned infrastructure. The academic building is spacious with properly ventilated classrooms and lecture halls equipped with projectors. Laboratories for Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry are adequately equipped for practical learning. The dissection hall and demonstration rooms are maintained properly. The attached hospital provides good clinical exposure, which is essential for MBBS students. The library has standard medical textbooks and a peaceful environment for study. Hostel facilities are decent, with basic amenities and security available.
The academic environment is disciplined and focused. Faculty members are qualified and supportive, especially during practical sessions and ward postings. Teaching includes lectures, practical classes, tutorials, and clinical postings from early years. The curriculum follows NMC guidelines and includes competency-based medical education (CBME), which helps in developing practical and communication skills along with theoretical knowledge.
Uma Nath Singh Autonomous State Medical College is a government medical college offering the MBBS course, so traditional campus placements like engineering colleges are not applicable here. Instead of corporate placements, students complete a one-year compulsory internship after final year, which provides practical training in different clinical departments. During internship, students get hands-on experience in OPDs, wards, emergency services, and minor procedures under supervision. The internship stipend is provided as per state government norms.
Campus life is simple and academically oriented. Cultural programs and events are conducted occasionally. Hostel life helps build strong peer bonds. The environment is safe and suitable for focused medical studies.
I would recommend Uma Nath Singh Autonomous State Medical College to students who are serious about pursuing MBBS in a government setup with good clinical exposure and affordable fees.
All the required building of our college is mostly complete but there's some facilities which we lag behind compare to some well established Medical Colleges, building for critical care unit is still under construction.

Good
The CSE department has decent buildings and enough classrooms for students. Computer labs are available and you can practice programming, do experiments, and work on basic projects. But Many classrooms and labs look old and need renovation. Some computers are outdated and slow, which can be frustrating during lab sessions. Projectors and smart classroom facilities are not available in every room. Maintenance is not always regular, so sometimes fans, lights, or systems don’t work properly. Compared to private or top engineering colleges, infrastructure feels less modern and not very advanced.
The university name is respected, so the degree has value. Some professors are experienced and guide students in projects and higher studies. The syllabus covers important computer subjects like programming, data structures, operating systems, and networks. Teachers explain topics clearly and focus more on theory.
Some IT and software companies come for campus placements, and a good number of students get selected every year. The placement cell arranges training sessions for aptitude, interviews, and resume preparation. Students who are good in coding and communication can get decent job offers. A few students also go for higher studies or get placed through off campus drives using the university name, which helps in recognition.
The university is very big and green, so it feels nice to walk around and study. CSE students get access to the central library, sports grounds, and hostels. There are some technical events, seminars, and college functions where students can participate and learn new things. But Campus life is not very exciting compared to private or top universities. Cultural fests and fun activities are limited.
Great facilities to the student they also provide bus facility from for locations and having well stocked libraries canteen with some good food outdoor and indoor games for centres and a gym in the garden area.

Campus size is very large and they have many buildings in it for various departments for statistics they have good laboratories designed specifically for us and there are so many gardens in it with seating arrangement for student

the department has many well-established labs like Basic & Advanced Electronics, Digital Electronics, Analog Communications, Microprocessor, VHDL & Simulation, Fiber Optics, and Microwave labs for practical learning. But as it is an older campus, so some buildings and labs may look a bit old or need renovation. Because the campus is large and spread out, students sometimes have to walk a lot between classes and labs
teachers are experienced and knowledgeable, and they explain important topics like electronics, communication systems, microprocessors, and signals well. Students learn both theory and practical work.Exams can also feel a bit stressful, especially if students don’t prepare regularly.
The good part is that many students get job offers from companies, especially in software, electronics, and communication fields. Some students also get internships and training opportunities.some students have to apply for jobs outside the college by using job portals or personal contacts.
the campus is big, green, and peaceful, which makes it a nice place to study and relax. There are events, clubs, and fests. Because the campus is large, students sometimes have to walk a long distance between classes, labs, and hostels

college infrastructure is better but some places like canteen is not at all said to be good structured . as it does not look higenic at all . the weird smell always come as they do no have any exhauster to make that smell out .
teachers are good there if it comes to teaching but there is always partiality between students even when it comes to marking or attendence . they do provide us the opportunities but if it is limited then only favorites are entertained.
placements are really poor. we cannot rely on them. but we can do internships given by them. i would rate the placements in minus as they only provide it for sales even if you have different specialization
