24 MonthsThe Masters in Performing Arts is envisioned for students who have a strong base of dance and are looking for avenues beyond a performing career. The program hopes to give a structured intervention at the Masters level of related aspects like writing, music, and theatre.
The primary aim of the programme is not just to help the students hone their skills of dance exclusively but also gain knowledge about the various other aspects which will help them gain an integrated and holistic sense of dance as an art form. Thus, apart from Bharatanatyam being the core of the curriculum, each semester will also have, alongside, courses on Carnatic Music, theatre, makeup, creative movement therapy, choreography and so on.
Eligibility Criteria
- A Candidate must have Passed in BA in Performing Arts with specialization in dance with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent grade awarded by any recognized University in India or abroad recognized by UGC / AIU are eligible to apply.
- Any undergraduate level degree with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent grade awarded by any recognized University in India or abroad recognized by UGC/AICTE / AIU is eligible to apply. along with diploma/certificate in dance or senior Exam in Bharathanatyam or its equivalent.
Admission Details
The selection process will consist of the audition, personal interview, and academic performance.
