The Ph.D. programme in the Department of Management studies involves in-depth research works in different functional areas of management. The Department encourages aspiring and meritorious student to pursue research. The coursework provides theoretical and empirical exposure pertaining to different aspects of research, which enables the research scholars to take up research in the contemporary areas of management science like Corporate Restructuring, Accounting Systems, Financial Regulations, Business Excellence, Emerging Markets, Financial Derivatives, and Risk Management Portfolio Theory. Thus the Ph.D. programme enables the scholars to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to implement in academic and corporate sectors.

Admission Process

Admissions are done on the basis of Christ University Entrance Test, Skill Assessment, Micro Presentation, Academic Performance(Assessment of past performance in Degree and MPhil and the research proposal during the Personal Interview), and Personal interview.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility of candidates intending to pursue a doctoral programme is a pass with a minimum of 55% in a postgraduate programme and MPhil. The students who have cleared UGC-CSIR NET/JRF examination or SLET/GATE examinations and also the students who have worked as JRF for one year in the externally funded major research projects may be exempted from MPhil requirement. In the case of internally funded major research projects (MRP), the students may be exempted from MPhil requirement after two years of research experience. Under certain conditions such as the presence of high impact publications students with a high academic performance at the postgraduate level, may be admitted directly to a Ph.D. programme.
