B.Tech. in Biotechnology prepares engineers for fulfilling and dynamic careers in biotechnology industry, research, and allied professions. In the fields of medicine and pharmaceuticals, biotechnology is best known for its increasingly important role. It is also used in areas such as genomics, food production, and biofuel production. Currently, this course is in high demand in the Indian education scenario, with 157 AICTE approved colleges and universities in India offering the course. In Uttar Pradesh, 34 colleges are currently offering the course with a strength of 2096 students. For the course of B.Tech Biotechnology, an extensive integrated programme core and elective courses with laboratory research, training in current industry practices, and the soft skills necessary to excel in business, will be implemented to prepare the graduate students to address and lead the advances in research and development, allied biomedical research, healthcare, industrial biotechnology and more. The course will prepare students for an array of careers in Hospital and Healthcare Sector, R&D Sector, Biomedical Startups, Pharmaceutical Companies, PSUs, Sales and technical support, Biotech Companies, Clinical Research, Software Engineering, Medical Devices Companies and Bio-entrepreneurship.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology in Class XIIth.

Students with a CUET / SAT (DI Code - 71057 ) score will be given preference in the merit list

For Lateral Entry:
Passed Diploma examination with at least 50% marks in any branch of Engineering and Technology.
Or
Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics / Biology / Biotechnology as a subject. Or
Passed B.Voc/3-year D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.

College Infrastructure

Yes, Galgotias University does have a pretty good infrastructure and almost all the amenities needed for the overall development of the students are provided there. There are a good many of facilities like smart classrooms, labs that are state of the art, numerous computer centres, a library with numerous books (and even a digital library facility), unlimited high speed Wifi connection, outdoor and indoor sports courts along with a gym, basic health care facility and comfortable accommodations (hostels are quite decent). The university’s actively working towards providing with all possible state of the art resources and has set up Active Learning Spaces and innovative research facilities.

College Infrastructure

According to normal and most of the Indian private and government college this university has one of the best infrastructure, supporting facilities and all the promised equipments. Classrooms and laboratories are well equipped with best digital boards and ac. Has many sports events and teams . Has spacious libraries with many kind of books available for students to borrow. 24*7 wifi . Supporting and friendly facilities who are always there to listen and try to solve the problem and come up with solution. Hygiene is well maintained in washrooms and sanitary stuffs are available.

College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is top notch. High tech labs as well as we have research labs. About classrooms, I like the round table classrooms,it is exhilarating perk to have discussions plus learning there.
