The authorities have extended the application date for GITAM GAT 2020 due to the current scenario. The third phase of GITAM GAT 2020 has been organised from May 20- may 23. As the application form is still available and many students were unable to appear for it so the authorities might conduct further phases. So just keep an eye on the official website for details. Also the official website shows that the date for applications has been extended.

After the declaration of result, merit list will be published on the official website of GITAM University , it will be prepared on the basis of your marks and rank, if your name will be there that means you have qualified the exam and you will be eligible for counselling process, here top ranker will get direct admission, and 25% of seat are reserved for Karnataka meritorious students if they are going to take admission for Bengaluru campus, if you get your name in the merit list and you are eligible for counselling process then you will have to first pay the amount in order to reserve your seat.

According to your rank secured in GITAM you will not be eligible for top branches like Computer Science and likewise but you can try for core branches like Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and so on.

You will have strong chances for getting these branches in GITAM.

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) has a very good infrastructure and facility services with a urban locality of Visakhapatnam. GITAM also has liberty given to students and has a good alumni base. According to student's reviews, the academic record is also better with a nice placement statistics.

Considering KL University, it has a good academic record with strict rules and has an average placement record. You can also consider them on the basis of locality and fees, which suits you and considering GITAM would be better.

The statistics for this year (2020) has not yet been officially announced. But every year more than 60,000 students appear for GITAM GAT Entrance exam. So it is expected for this year also. So the Cutoff varies every year depending upon number of students appeared, highest marks obtained, difficulty of paper etc..

Dear Sridevi, according to the cut off trend in Gitam, the cut off is 5940 for CSE branch. So, it is highly likely for you to secure a seat in Gitam, Visakhapatnam or Hyderabad campus with CSE branch.
