36 Months- The Bachelor of Arts (BA) Economics is a three-year degree program offered by the University with a view to impart in-depth knowledge and a broad understanding of Humanities.
- The BA program focuses on training the students in the areas of Economics, English, Public Administration, and Sociology. This course aims to prepare the students in the skills required of a Playwright, Administration Officers, Journalists, Orator, and Creative Writer; and equips them to pursue an MA degree program in due course.
- For the award of degree BA, students will have to successfully complete a total of 24 subjects as shown in the program structure. Further for BA (Hons) degree, the student will have to choose one subject from Economics, English, Public Administration, Sociology and complete 4 more courses shown as Honors courses in that chosen subject to complete a total of 28 subjects.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must have passed the Pass in Class XII or equivalent (any discipline) with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks. Students awaiting final year results may also apply.
Admission Details
The selection of applicants for all programs is made through application and interview. While evaluating applicants for admission, due weightage is given to academic distinction, awards in sports/cultural events, debates, quizzes, and other extra co-curricular activities.
