About IIT Dharwad
In 2016, the Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad, or IIT Dharwad, came into existence. The Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development established IIT Dharwad with the assistance of IIT Bombay.

The GATE COAP 2024 Round 7 Seat Allotment has been made public on June 21, 2024.
- Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) released the JoSAA 2024 third round seat allotment for admission to B.Tech programmes on July 4, 2024.
- Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) released the JoSAA 2024 fourth round seat allotment for admission to B.Tech programmes on July 10, 2024.
- Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) released the JoSAA 2024 fifth round seat allotment for admission to B.Tech programmes on July 17, 2024.
The designation of "Institute of National Importance" has been given to the Indian Institute of Technology in Dharwad. The Water and Land Management Institute site, where the modern IIT Dharwad campus is situated, is near to the Dharwad bench of the High Court of Belur. Admissions at IIT Dharwad are based on the entrance exams accepted by the institute, B.Tech admissions are taken on the basis of JEE Advanced, M.Tech admissions are taken on the basis of GATE examination.
IIT Dharwad offers admissions in B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering, M.S. in Electrical Engineering, and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. IIT Dharwad also offers Ph.D programmes in Chemistry, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering.
IIT Dharwad has been given 470 acres by the Karnataka government to build its permanent campus. The IIT Dharwad offers courses in eight different departments, including those for Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemistry, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering, and Physics. IIT Dharwad scholarships are offered to the students to pursue higher studies. Computer lab, chemical lab, physics lab and other infrastructural facilities are available at IIT Dharwad campus.

College is under construction but still they are making us (starting from 2022 dec 2) to stay in new campus which is not fully constructed , Hence there is no proper infrastructure. They should arrange for infrastructure faster or they should arrange for temporary arrangements. For now they arranged classrooms in a studyroom of hostel. No our spaces are not clean and hygienic as campus is under construction you can see a lot of dust.

IF you want to pursue btech in a old conventional branch then ece at iit dhanbad is best but if you have no problem in choosing new branches then iit jodhpur artificial intelligence is also good but i wont advice to take cse at iit dharwad as it is a new iit comparatively. Overall going by brand name and branch combined iit dhanbad ece might prove to be the best option.
