Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Biotechnology is a four-year (8 semesters) full-time undergraduate program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered at the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida.

The curriculum provides engineering interface and integrates core subject area knowledge with professional development; focusing on entrepreneurship, analytical and research skills. Students undertake basic courses in genetics, molecular biology, genetic engineering and plant and animal tissue culture as well as specialised courses such as genetic screening and personalised medicine, bioprocess engineering and industrial microbiology, immunotechnology, nanotechnology and biosensors, as electives. Two minor projects of duration of one semester and one major project of two semesters duration help the students in transforming their theoretical knowledge to practical applications.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed 10+2/equivalent exam
Candidates must have passed with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent examination
Candidates should have secured a Pass grade in all subjects
The candidate should have passed or appeared in 10+2 examination or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one subject out of Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, and Entrepreneurship.

Admission Details

Admissions are offered based on the scores of JEE (Main) 2026.

Counselling will be based on Merit. Shortlisted candidates eligible for counselling will be informed by email on registered mail ID’s. List of candidates will also be uploaded in the website.

College Infrastructure

The course structure for every semester is good. My course is very much related to so in the first semester, there are basic Biology courses which help the students to get interested in the core fields.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is centred around the state of the art infrastructure with well equipped laboratories, smart classrooms and library. It consists of a grand mess and cafeteria offering a nourishing menu for its students. It also provides hostel accomodation to its students.

It's one of the best college and totally worth it.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure of the Sector 62 campus is awesome it is beautiful and gives full college vibes. It has two buildings with a beautiful big garden at the center. The auditorium is also very spacious.
