B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge in two important subject areas Electronics and Computer Science. The natural advantage of this hybrid program is that it prepares future engineers who are acquainted with both the hardware and the associated software/programming concepts. As a by-product it will enhance the employability opportunities for the students.

The program combines the coursework in different aspects of electronics and communication engineering and computer science with 18 additional credits in comparison to a regular B.Tech degree. In essence, the programme gives students an opportunity to develop knowledge of both the fields over a period of four years by carefully opting the subjects of study.

The highlights of the program are:

Crossover courses to teach Electronics (hardware) and Computer Science (software) basics.
Total 178 credit course (18 extra credits for specialization)
Intensive programming courses in pre-final year and final year electives.
Opportunity to do minor and major projects in the area of Computer Science.
Program will give edge to students willing to pursue a future in IoT, AI and Embedded systems

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed 10+2/equivalent exam
Candidates must have passed with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent examination
Candidates should have secured a Pass grade in all subjects
The candidate should have passed or appeared in 10+2 examination or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one subject out of Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, and Entrepreneurship.

Admission Details

Admissions are offered based on the scores of JEE (Main) 2026.

Counselling will be based on merit. Shortlisted candidates eligible for counselling will be informed by email on registered mail ID’s. List of candidates will also be uploaded in the website.
