    Master of Design (M.Des) is a full time two year post-graduate course approved by AICTE and offered by the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. It is an advanced, interdisciplinary postgraduate program focused on fostering innovation, creativity, and problem-solving in digital design. The department of Mechanical Engineering and Design Department, offer this program to seamlessly integrate technology, human-centered design, and business acumen to equip graduates with the skills needed to address complex challenges across industries, research, and education.

    With a strong emphasis on digital design, product innovation, UI/UX design, and emerging technologies, the program prepares students for careers in user experience (UX) design, digital product development, strategic design, and AI-driven innovation.

    The Master of Design (M. Des) program is a gateway to innovation, creativity, and critical thinking in design. Meticulously crafted for aspiring designers, it empowers them to push creative boundaries, embrace cutting-edge methodologies, and make meaningful contributions to the evolving design landscape. Through a dynamic blend of theoretical knowledge, hands-on studio practice, and industry exposure, the program equips students to tackle complex design challenges across diverse domains.


    Eligibility Criteria

    • Candidates must have completed their bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination.
    • Secured pass grade in all subjects of qualifying exam.
    • Applicants from other fields with a keen interest in design and a portfolio demonstrating creative aptitude are also encouraged to apply.

    Admission Details

    • Direct admission for candidates securing above 60% based on merit and seat availability.
    • Candidates with valid GATE/CEED/NID score card will be offered direct admission.
    • Entrance test will be conducted by Department for candidates securing 55%-60%.
    • CUET-PG: Admission will be offered to candidates on merit based on marks scored in CUET-PG conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
    • The selected candidates will be notified by email.
    • Candidates appearing in qualifying examination must submit their results on or before the date of registration.
