Youth Red Cross- The members of the committee conduct various activities and events for the welfare of the people and society.
NSS- The members of the National Service Scheme of Madurai Kamaraj University conduct awareness programmes for the welfare of the common people. The various awareness programmes conducted by the MKU NSS are blood donation camps, Swachh Bharat, international yoga day, disaster management, road traffic awareness, etc.
NCC- Madurai Kamaraj University NCC members participate in activities like national integration camps, paragliding, parasailing, rock climbing, para dropping and other mountaineering activities.
Red Ribbon Club- The club spreads awareness programmes about HIV and AIDS and encourages the youth to participate for the welfare of the people.
Students Counselling Cell- Academic and career-related counselling are provided to the students by trained counsellors. They also help in the personality development of the students and prepare them for interviews.
The facilities provided by the university are hostels, auditorium, library, cafeteria, medical clinic, bank, post office, wi-fi, convenience store, transport and many more. Madurai Kamaraj University facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls. There are more than one hostel in the university. The hostel committee supervises the functioning of the hostel.
