72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Santali is a full-time Research course Offered by Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University, Baripada. The Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master's Degree holders having secured at least 55% of marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in UGC-7-point scale and above in any disciplines of North Orissa University or any other State/Central University recognized as equivalent to that by North Orissa University are eligible for Ph.D. Registration. Relaxation up to 5% (i.e., from 55% to 50%) or an equivalent relaxation of grade for SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently-abled students or those who had obtained their Master‟s degree before 19th September 1991 can be granted.
- For admission into the Ph.D. program, the candidate should have completed the PrePh.D. course work conducted by North Orissa University or any State/ Central University and obtained the course completion certificate. Further, the successful Pre-Ph.D. course work candidates shall be eligible for Ph.D. registration in the subjects concerned. Registration in Allied/ Interdisciplinary subjects other than his/ her subject at the Master‟ 's level will be decided by the Subject Research Committee (SRC).

Selection shall be made on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Test and Interview.
